Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, is a highly successful individual who has accomplished a great deal in his life. Also, as a human being, he has his flaws and his virtues. As a result, here are ten things you may not have known about Vladimir Putin from US and international media coverage.

The date of Vladimir Putin's birth was 7 October 1952, and he was born to Vladimir Putin and Maria Putin.

2. Putin is the only surviving member of his family.
He graduated from Leningrad State University with a law degree in 1975.

His personal website claims that as a youngster, Putin was known for his unruly behavior, yet he did well in school.

In 1983, Vladimir Putin married Lyudmila Shkrebneva and had two children, Maria and Katerina. In 2013, the couple separated amicably.
