Fans line New York City streets Aug. 31 to catch a glimpse of the funeral procession of R&B singer Aaliyah, who was killed Aug. 25 in a plane crash in the Bahamas at age 22.

I remember this, I was up late at night, and I catch the breaking news on the CNN website. I can say I was one of the first to know, but 9/11, I was one of the last, go figure!
