LOW cost airline Fastjet is reporting a huge demand for its services with passenger load factor standing at 81 per cent having carried 26,387 passengers in February.
"In response to this demand, Fastjet is increasing its capacity by 50 per cent and launching two more domestic routes in Tanzania. From March 18 Fastjet will operate daily flights between Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro and Mwanza," said CEO Ed Winter.
Load factor is the number of passengers as a percentage of the number of available seats flown. The airline which is yet to start operating in Kenya due to licensing issues started operations in Tanzania in November.
