The United States of America is the most powerful military power the world has ever known. Since the end of the Second World War, America has enjoyed dominance and uninterrupted superiority in the world's military arena. It is arguably the most well trained and well equipped forces on earth. Her rivals are the Soviet Union (Russia) and the People's Republic of China. Below are some of the deadliest weapons the US have in the recent past developed (Source: YouTube, Wikipedia, Google & Global Military Ranking website)
a) The Atomic Bomb
This bomb was developed during the height of the world War II. An Advisory Committee on Uranium had told the then US President Ronald Reagan that the uranium element would provide a possible source of bombs with destructive powers so greater than anything known at that time. The bomb developed and used on two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, after which Japan unconditionally surrendered bringing to and end World War II.
b) Precision Guided Artillery
This technology provides the ability to hit military targets precisely. Previously, huge volumes of fire had to be fired to increase the probability of hitting a target. In 1972, laser guided bombs allowed the US Air Force and Navy jets to hit targets precisely instead of scattering dozens of fire.
c) Military Drones
Instead of risking lives at the battle field, the US soldiers can fly remotely with unmanned aircrafts fitted with fire arms. Military drones have changed the way the super power wages it's war. No nation would arguably want to go to war with them.
d) The Gatling Gun
This was first invented during the American Civil War, which is regarded as the deadliest war in history. The gun is also one of the first rapid fire weapons in history. It consist of a multiply pare of artillery rotating around a central axis. It can fire up to 400 bullets per minute. This has since solved the problem of unsustained fires in the battle field.
