Almost 200 people have lost their lives in Kenya dew to floodings....lost properties....lost families but no body in the government and the general public at large seems to care. All they care is about Covid19 and President Magufuli. Covid19 has become a god worthy of worship.
Churches have been closed, restaurant open to sell beer.... mosque closed....no place to pray. Floods in Kenya seems to be a problem among many others including Locusts, police brutality, snakes in Baringo County, evacuation in slam areas, and many others.
The media in Kenya is very much concerned about the affairs in the next house where they don't belong to.
They have turned their ayes on President Magufuli as their focal point. Reports say that Kenya wish President Magufuli was their president just to clean their house at least for one Year.
They give him all the attention he deserves than any leader in EA.
So many articles are written in a single day all about President Magufuli whether positive or negative..just write..just write.
The Floods in Kenya seems to be a result of poor land policy in the country. Most of the land in Kenya belongs to political figures especially those who have been to state house. The normal mwwnanchi from the so called mashinani have no access to good Land and they are forced to acquire habitats in flood zones not by choice but by no means.
The slams in big cities are caused by this poor land policy but the media inn Kenya is blind. 80% of Kenyans are tenants to estate owners...most of them get in a morning go to work just for rent, and the little left go to big stores to buy Unga and other groceries.
My take is: Media open up your cameras to these issues, President Magufuli is a Tanzanian leader, change your altitude for the benefit of the future in Kenya.Lets address our concerns and forget about Tanzanian president...they are doing great for their future generations and they don't talk about us....who are we? Let's change.
