BVB linked to Lirola

Reports in Italy suggest that Borussia Dortmund is interested in Pol Lirola from US Sassuolo. The 19-year-old Spaniard is a talented right back who is loaned to Sassuolo from Juventus until the end of next season. However there is a possibility of Juventus calling him back and selling him this summer. He would be a back-up option for Lukasz Piszczek on the right side of the defense, where BVB might need another player if they decide to loan out Felix Passlack.

RB Leipzig and Schalke 04 are two other teams that are reportedly interested to bring in Lirola.

Paredes to Dortmund?

Another rumor made the rounds in Italy, with Leandro Paredes liked to the black and yellows. Paredes is a 22-year-old defensive midfielder who is currently playing for AS Roma. Zenit St. Petersburg are interested in bringing him in but they are apparently deterred by Roma transfer fee demand of 25€ million.

Paredes is definitely a talented player but it seems doubtful that BVB would bring in another midfielder if they don't sell one first. Weigl-Dahoud seems to be the planned midfield pivot for next season with Rode, Sahin, Merino and Castro being the back-up options. Weigl will miss the first couple months of next season but they should be able to replace him for that time period without bringing another player in.
