A middle-aged woman from Kapusa Village in Trans Mara West, Narok County, was on Friday arrested and is being held at Kilgoris Police Station for allegedly assisting her school-going daughter to procure abortion.
The girl, a student at Angata Girls Secondary School, was rushed to a Narok hospital after she developed complications due to heavy bleeding.
Ongata Barrikoi Location chief Paul Kirui confirmed the incident to eDaily.
The student and her mother will be arraigned in court Monday, October 3.
