Former Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Robert Manumba has passed away at night on August 30, 2021
Manumba assumed the position of DCI in 2006 until he attained the legal retirement at 60 in November 2013.
Manumba held various positions in government including Court Registrar between 1976 – 1977, Public Prosecutor in Kibondo and Kasulu district, in Kigoma region between 1977-1984 and Instructor at Dar es Salaam Police Academy (1984- 1987).
He was also the Head of Investigation in Kinondoni and Deputy head of Investigation in Dar es Salaam Region (1987 – 1993), Head of Investigation in Arusha Region (1993 – 1995), Chief Instructor at Police Academy in Moshi (1995 -1996), and Assistant Director of Investigation between 2001 – 2006.
