Four guards were killed and two wounded in an attack at their place of work in Mitaboni, Machakos county, on Wednesday night
Three died at the scene and one while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The watchmen are said to have tried to prevent a robbery at a business premise.
The incident sparked protests in the area with locals demanding action against the perpetrators.
