Four ICT Managers fired after embezzling 160 million from president’s digital talent program

Four senior ICT managers at the government information and communication authority have been fired over embezzlement claims in the presidents digital talent program.

The ICT principal secretary Victor Kyalo said that the CEO of the authority had fired the four in order for investigations to take place after an internal audit showed the grand theft.

The assets recovery unit and the the CID were called upon to assist with the investigations.

The bank accounts of the four managers were also frozen.

The PS said that if found culpable the four managers and would face the full force of the law.

The four are said to be directly behind some questionable bank transfers in the name of deductions, Sacco savings and per Diem.

It was also discovered that the four had received 20 million each in the name of out of office expenses.
