GREETINGS TO EVERYONE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
As we enter the New Year,we must remember the rights of albinos. Nothing should be done to harm them.Because albinos are human beings. They are sentient beings.They are not like mentally retarded people. Albinos are people who can build the Nation,if they are given the chance.The President has appointed an albino to be a Member of Parliament. And this albino MP speaks a lot for albinos. But she should also concern herself with other affairs of the Nation. Because an MP should talk about everything. Likewise the other albinos should not speak only about how they are being victimized. They should also talk about Nation building.
This problem of the killing of albinos seems to be a problem of Religion. These people have got a perverse religion in which they believe that it is okay to kill albinos in order to become rich. And what should albinos do when they want to become rich? Who should they kill?The people who are killing albinos should stop doing this,because this is bringing great shame to our Nation in the International Community.
Another thing which should be mentioned is the many accidents which happen;people burning down their houses because they were careless with a matchstick or with a candle😛eople burning their houses because of electrical problems.This problem about fires is very important. It was once raised in Parliament by the MP called 'Islam' There are too many fires,so we must be more careful.
Also,it is especially bad when someone who is a professional driver like a bus driver,or a lorry driver,or a dala dala driver,gets involved in an accident.These people should be more careful when they are driving.
Long distance driving is difficult.It requires physical stamina. The driver must make sure that he is ready for the job.It all comes down to having good physical health and mental composure.
Also,people must be more careful when they cross the road,or they may be knocked by a car.Here in Dar es Salaam,for example,because of the traffic congestion,when Lowasa was Prime Minister,novel ways were introduced to ease the congestion,ways which ameliorated the problem,but which made life more hazardous for the pedastreans. So,we can say,after Lowasa became Prime Minister,you have to be more careful when you cross the road.
Another problem which we could discuss is the way people are killing themselves because of problems encountered in love relationships. There was the case,a few months ago,of the girl who jumped from a building after being spurned by her boy friend.This was very shocking.[But in this case,she did not die] And she is not the only one.You hear,or you read,of cases,in which someone goes to the bar to drink,and comes home,and finds his wife in bed with another man. Then,there is a fight,which ends in homicide being commited.This is bad,because it means that the intellect is weak,and it is bing overwhelmed by the emotions. I hope the people,who do such things will stop doingthem,because it is very shocking when you hear that a girl has broken a bottle,and has swallowed the bits of glass and has killed herself.
Again,we should discuss the superstitious beliefs that are causing so many killings. Recently,an old woman was killed in Iringa Region,who was completely innocent.It was an argument which had happenned after she had hired some young men,to help her till a plot of farm land. She had promised to give them 5550 shillings. When they came to collect the money,she said that she did not have as much money as she thought at first,so would they please accept 5000 shillings,instead?The young man who had come to accept the money on behalf of the others,refused. So,they old lady paid the money in full,but she cursed the yound man. She said,"I hope you will not live to see the light of day,you greedy person". That young man died that same night. And,then,a groop of very angry people,came and killed the woman.
Like we said in the beginning,we wish every one a Happy New Year. In every nook and cranny in Tanzania,we hope that there will be no corruption. We say "corruption".in the sense of any type of behaviour which is excessively bad. We speak only of Tanzania,and not of other countries,because we believe that in those other countries,there are people who are wishing that there should be no corruption,in the New Year.
