Kizza Besigye, a fierce critic of Uganda President Yoweri Museveni has been arrested.

This comes just moments after Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine had charges against him dropped at a military court on Thursday morning.

According to NTV Uganda, Kizza Besigye was arrested and taken to Naggalama Police Station after trying to leave his home in Kasangati.

Police and military personal had surrounded his home on early Thursday morning as Bobi Wine appeared before a military court in Gulu.

Kizza Besigye is leader of the Forum for Democratic Change, the main opposition party in Uganda.

Bobi wine hajaachiwa huru atarudi mahamakani 30th August kuendelea na mashtaka katika mahakama ya Kiraia na sio ya kijeshi tena.

Na hisi ni kwa jitihada za Waganda wakiungwa mkono na ndugu zao wa Africa Mashariki pamoja na ulimwengu kwa ujumla. Kwani huku TZ wengi pia waliunga mkono kampeni za kuachiwa kwake, mfano chama cha ACT Wazalendo kilimwandikia barua ya wazi Raisi M7 juu ya kadhia hiyo.
