Physical security management:
- Develop and implement security protocols and procedures for safeguarding agricultural and livestock assets, especially against potential encroachment by Maasai cattle/goats etc.
- Monitor and oversee access control systems, including gates, fences, and entry points.
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of premises and livestock areas.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to assess security risks and implement appropriate measures.
- Install and manage surveillance systems for monitoring key areas, such as barns, fields, and storage areas.
- Review CCTV footage and other monitoring systems to identify potential security breaches or threats.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents and take necessary action as per established protocols.
- Recruit, train, and supervise security personnel responsible for on-site security operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and guide security staff for efficient functioning.
- Coordinate schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate security threats.
- Collaborate with management to implement measures to address identified risks and vulnerabilities.
- Keep updated with industry best practices and recommend improvements to existing security measures.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for natural disasters, theft, or other security-related incidents.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services to ensure a rapid and effective response in case of emergencies.
- Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
- Prepare regular reports on security-related activities, including incident summaries and security system status updates.
- Communicate security-related information to relevant stakeholders and management as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and safety.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any security-related compliance issues promptly.
- Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to address security concerns and implement cohesive security strategies.
- Foster a culture of security awareness among employees by conducting training sessions and disseminating relevant information.
- Proven work experience in a similar role or higher of at least 2 years.
- Form 6 certificate holder and a diploma in Security management.
- Proven experience in relevant security technology and equipment (Incl CCTV).
- Working experience in agricultural/ livestock keeping and proof of security training/ courses will add an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan, multitask and manage time effectively.
- Sense of ownership and pride in personal performance and its impact on the company’s.
- Age Limit (Between 23-40 years).
