Position: Head of Stores and Procurement

JOD DESCRIPTION
  1. Store operations oversight: Manage and supervise all aspects of store operations, including receiving goods and dispatching them efficiently.
  1. Innovative Procurement: Utilize innovative methods to procure farm supplies, ensuring optimal use of oils, lubricants, and other necessary items while maintaining workshop and departmental efficiency.
  1. Stock Management improvement: Enhance stock entries and records accuracy to ensure efficient inventory management.
  1. Organization Maintenance: Keep the store area organized and tidy to facilitate easy access to goods and streamline operations.
  1. Requisition Verification: Verify the validity of requisitions to ensure that only necessary items are procured.
  1. Usage Verification: Validate the use of items such as welding rods, cutting discs, and grease requested from stores to minimize waste and misuse.
  1. Diesel Issuance and Monitoring: Issue diesel as required and monitor consumption of farm implements regularly to optimize usage.
  1. Strategic Sourcing: Source items needed by various departments, including cattle drugs, spare parts, and building materials, ensuring competitive pricing and favorable payment terms.
  1. Procurement streamlining: Streamline the procurement process by establishing relationships with select wholesalers to obtain competitive prices and reduce costs.
  1. FIFO Compliance: Implement and enforce a first in, first out (FIFO) system to ensure proper rotation of goods and prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
  1. Timely data recording: Ensure timely and accurate recording of necessary data in both physical ledgers and computer systems.
  1. Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery reports by liaising with vendors or requestors.
  2. Goods Handling Supervision: Supervise the unpacking of incoming goods and ensure proper packaging for outgoing shipments to maintain product quality and integrity.
  1. Price negotiation: Conduct due diligence by negotiating the best prices with suppliers and obtaining multiple quotations before requesting payments to optimize cost savings.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in accounting or related courses & a minimum of 3 years working experience. Highschool with a diploma or degree in procurement and supplier and/or material management
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and software such as Tally & quick Book.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Age Limit (Between 25- 40 years)
