1st January 1515: Also on this day of King Louis XII of France died between 10 and 11 o’clock at night, aged fifty two. He was the husband of Mary Tudor, younger sister of Henry VIII.
 
December 27, 1437: Albrecht V, Duke of Austria, was recognized heir to the kingdoms of Hungary and Croatia following the death of his father-in-law Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund. He was crowned on January 1, 1438 then crowned King of Bohemia six months later. He was elected King of Germany (as Albrecht II) in the middle of all that but died before being crowned Holy Roman Emperor.
