He was previously linked with Milan.

Dani Ceballos for El Chiringuito:
When you have such players as Kroos and Modrić in front of you, playing in the first team is very difficult. I do not want to spend more time on the bench, because I think my time has come. I have a four year contract with Real Madrid and I do not expect to leave, but my goal is to succeed in a short time.

The State of Qatar reportedly wants to invest in Milan, despite alleged denials from Elliott Management.

According to news agency Adnkronos, Qatar has ‘accelerated’ its interest in Milan and representatives of its investment fund are ‘in talks’ to buy the club.

Furthermore, a meeting has been scheduled between both sets of leaders after the fund switched their attentions from Roma to the Rossoneri.

To circumvent UEFA rules over ownership, the Diavolo would not be managed directly by Paris Saint-Germain chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is also chairman of Qatar Sports Investments.

It would also leave the state’s attempted takeover of English side Leeds United in doubt.

Elliott, meanwhile, gained control of Milan last summer after previous owner Li Yonghong defaulted on a loan he borrowed from the hedge fund.

It has spent the past year stabilising their finances, which has seen them pull of the Europa League.

However, while Adnkronos claims to have received ‘no comment’ from the club, Tuttomercatoweb and Milan News report Elliott has denied the speculation to their sources.

AC Milan have reportedly begun enquiries over young Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes to gauge the possibility of a summer deal.

It is no secret that the Rossoneri leadership are desperate to bring in a midfielder this summer due to a number of departures, combined with the fact new boss Marco Giampaolo prefers a 4-3-1-2 formation.

A number of names have already been linked with a move to San Siro, including the likes of Lucas Torreira, Dani Ceballos, Jordan Veretout and most recently Ismail Bennacer – who looks set to join on a five-year deal.

Now, Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that Milan have begun discussions over 20-year-old Benfica starlet Gedson Fernandes.

The Portugal international made 22 league appearances for Benfica in 2018-19, amassing two assists, and tends to play as a central midfielder.

He is described as a ‘very strong’ player with ‘great potential’, but Milan are wary that Benfica have just lost their prized asset in Joao Felix, and as such the operation is described as ‘difficult’.

Pedulla: Milan hoping to clinch Veretout deal next week after upping bid
By Oliver Fisher - July 6, 2019

AC Milan have upped the stakes in the race for Jordan Veretout and hope to have a deal completed by Wednesday, one journalist claims.

The centre of midfield is an area which the Rossoneri are understandably keen to address, especially given new head coach Marco Giampaolo prefers a 4-3-1-2 formation.

A number of names have already been linked with a move to San Siro, including the likes of Lucas Torreira, Dani Ceballos and most recently Ismail Bennacer – who looks set to join on a five-year deal.

Recently, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed that there was an offer on the table from Milan for Veretout and that the player is ‘intrigued’ by the idea of joining.

Now, Alfredo Pedulla has claimed that Milan have made an increased bid to Fiorentina for Veretout which amounts to €15m + Lucas Biglia.

This comes after new contacts between Paolo Maldini and Fiorentina, and Pedulla believes the deal could still get over the line even without Biglia.

Roma are still interested in the Frenchman, but Milan are hoping to close the deal by Wednesday next week.

Veretout has made 75 appearances for La Viola in all competitions, scoring 15 goals and adding six assists.

Yet more reports from Italian news agency Adnkronos have emerged suggesting that a Qatari investment fund are in talks to take over AC Milan.

Reports on Thursday claimed that the state of Qatar have ‘accelerated’ talks over taking over the Rossoneri, with their representatives ‘in talks’ to buy the club.

A meeting was apparently scheduled between the fund and Elliott Management, who took the club over a year ago after Yonghong Li defaulted on the repayment of debts.

Now, Adnkronos provide an update on the situation by claiming that their sources have been made aware that ‘negotiations have started’.

They state that the first meeting between the Qatari investment fund and representatives of Milan ‘took place in Milano at the beginning of the week’.

From the Qatari side, megotiations are apparently being driven by a very high level personality – not believed to Nasser El-Khelaifi but a person very close to the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Contacted by Adnkronos, Milan did not comment on the reports.

- Lucas Biglia could be included in the transfer of Jordan Veretout. Fiorentina has some doubts about the earnings and physical fitness of the Argentinian.

- Negotiations on the transfer of Gianluigi Donnarumma to PSG were unsuccessful. Rossoneri disagreed, among others with the valuation of Alphone Areola, which could be the part of the transaction (30 million euros).

*Commisso: 'Chiesa worth over €100m*

Rocco Commisso warns Fiorentina “won’t make the same mistake as with Roberto Baggio. I won’t sell Federico Chiesa even for €100m.”
The Italian-American billionaire purchased the club from the Della Valle brothers and has big plans for this new era.
“I am 69 years old, but this morning I again woke up at 5.30am to start work,” Commisso told Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper.

“You never stop running here. My family left Italy as losers, we struggled to reach the end of the month and didn’t even have money to buy shoes. I worked for my older brother from age 14-17, as he opened the first pizza delivery service in the Bronx, called Pizza Time.
“I told myself, I am 69 years old, so if I don’t buy a Serie A club now, when will I do it? I don’t have much time left and I want to really leave my mark. I threw myself into this new challenge.”
Commisso has repeatedly stated he does not want to sell Chiesa, despite interest from Juventus and several overseas clubs.
“I will not make the same mistake with Chiesa that was made with Baggio. Roby Baggio was the greatest player ever and they sold him just for money.
“I don’t know if there are any particular clauses in Chiesa’s contract, but as far as I am concerned, he is our champion and I won’t sell him even for €100m.

“I have my dreams, we’ll take it one step at a time and see what happens, but I want to do something for Florence and Fiorentina. I want to leave my mark here.”
That could result in the construction of a new stadium, but Commisso is well aware of the issues encountered by various other clubs around the country.
*“I already told the Mayor that I am ready if they let me build a new stadium. *In Italy, there’s red tape around everything, so you still see corruption and criminality in the construction business.*
“In America, there is still meritocracy and you have to work every day to get what you deserve. If you work hard and do things right, the results do arrive.”

Milan put both Samu Castillejo and Fabio Borini on the market.
For the former Sunderland there was a survey by Crystal Palace, especially if Zaha is leaving (direction Arsenal). Also Bordeaux who lost Karamoh, the problem is the wage of 2.5m € per season for another 2 years.

Donnarumma wants to stay at Milan and has communicated his decision to the club and his entourage

AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini will have decide the future of his son Daniel Maldini with three Serie B clubs interested in him.
Meanwhile the appearances of the Primavera prodigy have not gone unnoticed with three Serie B clubs interested in his services. Unlike his grandfather, father and elder brother, Daniel Maldini is not a defender but a second striker and, if necessary, he plays as winger on both flanks. A few months ago Daniel made his debut with Italy under-18. Last season Daniel was AC Milan U-17 top scorer with 13 goals in 28 appearances.
According to reports, Serie B sides, Spezia, Crotone and Pisa are interested in Daniel Maldini. The three clubs would like take the young Maldini on loan. At this point, it’s up to Daniel to decide whether to try a new adventure in Serie B and continue with the Primavera squad. Papa Paolo will certainly advise him, and it will also be interested to see how much Boban and Massara will influence on a final decision.

Bonaventura will be an additional reinforcement for Giampaolo. Jack is fine and at the end of August he could start working with the group to return to full capacity between late September and early October. The recovery of Bonaventura , who can play both as a midfielder and a trequartista - will be fundamental for the new Milan coach.

GdS: Donnarumma could sign new contract on reduced salary
By Oliver Fisher - July 7, 2019

After declaring his intention to stay at AC Milan, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will apparently sign a new deal on a lower salary.

Reports on Sunday emerged claiming that Donnarumma has communicated to agent Mino Raiola and the Milan leadership his intention to stay beyond the summer.

Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain had been touted as a potential destination for Donnarumma, with reports last month suggesting that they had opened talks over a possible swap deal.

Now, a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport reaffirms the earlier reports by stating the 20-year-old has told Elliott Management that he is committed to the Rossoneri.

Despite previously being first on the list of ‘sellable’ players, Donnarumma’s will is to remain at San Siro, however a new deal is in the pipeline.

The Milan Primavera product is now expected to sign a new contract with a ‘much lower’ salary than his current €6m-a-year.

The paper reports that a possible plan could be to keep the total value of the deal extend the deal until 2022, thus spreading the financial commitment over a greater number of years.

AC Milan are bracing themselves for another summer of drastic changes. For the first time, AC Milan’s summer transfer business will be conduced by club legends Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban. So far the Rossoneri have signed Rade Krunic, Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer. Now it’s time to think about sales.

Like every summer recently, the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma dominates the newspaper headlines. Despite interested from PSG and Manchester Untied, AC Milan have decided to keep Gigio and sell him only in case of a very tempting offer that must exceed considerably his alleged 50 million euros price tag. Same situation for Kessie and Suso.

But there is one player whose sale is sure this summer and that player is Ricardo Rodriguez. The 26-year-old full-back is not part of Marco Giampaolo’s technical plans and is on the market.

Theo Hernandez becomes AC Milan fourth left-back in the squad and, after spending €20 million for his services, the former Real Madrid will be the regular starter on the left. Diego Laxalt and Strinic will likely follow Rodriguez out of Milan but the Rossoneri are currently in negotiations only for the Swiss international.

Ricardo Rodriguez has many offers but the player himself would prefer a transfer to the Premier League. AC Milan and Everton are in advanced negotiations with Arsenal and Manchester also interested in him. AC Milan signed Rodriguez for 15 million euros from Wolfsburg two years ago and value him at least 20 million now.

Ricardo Rodriguez has always been a reliable player but his contribution has never been enough in the eyes of the fans or the Milan management. After 87 appearances and 4 goals with the Rossoneri his career has come to an end .

Giampaolo: "Maldini called me while I was on a boat with some friends. I then took the first plane to meet Paolo. The call from Milan made me a happy man. It's a great honour."

Giampaolo: "My slogan? 'Keep your head up and play football'. I like motivated players; the project is to offer an appreciable show. I don't believe that there is first team players and reserves. Every player must feel important."

Giampaolo: "Milan have many young players. It will take time, but we must transmit a winning mentality to the group. We must build a team that is not afraid of itself."

Giampaolo on Hernandez: "He's young and a player with potential. Milan appointed me to also help improve high-quality young players. He has ambitions of becoming one of the best footballers in that role in a few years."

Giampaolo: "I don't know if Praet will join, we already have four others in that area. Andrè Silva & Cutrone have different characteristics. I have to understand how to put them together, understand who is functional. Being able to choose is already a great thing."

Giampaolo: "Donnarumma is a very strong player. I rarely ask for an opposition player's jersey, but three or four years ago I asked him for his."

Giampaolo on Suso: "He's a quality player, he can dribble and has personality. Without quality football players you don't win games. We will evaluate his ideal position to make him and the team perform better."

Giampaolo: "Milan have achieved great results through an identity. I like motivated players. I like players who want to be remembered for doing something important."

Giampaolo: "Before we move seriously in any direction, I want to understand who will be able to satisfy our ideas and who, although strong, will not be functional to those ideas. With that in mind, I want a period of reflection.

"We will certainly play with four at the back."

Giampaolo: "I always say; promise less to maintain more. It seems to me a very appropriate phrase. There is a big job to be done. I can promise work, seriousness and commitment. I plan to enter Milanello at 8 in the morning and leave at 8 in the evening."

Giampaolo: "Fear? I am not afraid of anything. Now, I’m just afraid of being late for my first training tomorrow."

Giampaolo: "Milan have many young players. It will take time, but we must transmit a winning mentality to the group. We must build a team that is not afraid of itself."

Giampaolo: "Milan have great quality, they defend very well - with organization and quality. Let's see what will change, I have some ideas, but I have to understand what I’m dealing with. I would like to play football with leading players."

Giampaolo: "I have already figured out where I am. I just have to go deeper into where I am. I want to take a precise path. The squad? We need to get to know each other, tomorrow I will talk to them. I will try to understand their profiles and tell them what I expect from them."
