The impending arrival of Ralf Rangnick at AC Milan will see the club continue to foster young exciting talent, with contact already made with the representatives of 19-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward Paulinho.

The appointment of Rangnick at San Siro is inching ever closer, and the Red Bull Head of Sport and Development is keen to stamp his mark on the club after years of underachievement.

AC Milan are welcoming back their players as individual training is now allowed in Italy. In addition to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who trained in total isolation today, three other players returned to Milanello.

As reported by Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), the Swede wasn’t the only news of the day. In fact, Ismael Bennacer, Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti also crossed the gates to the training ground for the first time since the stop.

However, the Rossoneri are still waiting for two players, namely Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic. The former is still stuck in Ivory Coast, having failed to find accommodation back to Italy. Therefore, his return remains unknown.

It remains to be seen when the government will allow group training again, with the players currently working individually on the pitch. Once a decision has been made on the season, the teams will have to get back to proper training.

PIRLO on Tonali: "It is said that he may be my heir, but I don't see many things in common, besides our hair."
"He is different type of player. He is much more complete than I was , both in the defensive phase and when he sets up in attack . He is a mix between my characteristics and those of other great players.”
“He is the most promising of young midfielders, it is certain he will be a great player”

AC Milan are set to embark on a revolution in midfield this summer with two players already picked out as top targets, a report claims.

According to Wednesday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the departures of Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura means at least two signings are needed of both youth and quality.

The duo have already identified: Dominik Szoboszlai of Red Bull Salzburg and Sandro Tonali from Brescia.

The interest in Szoboszlai is very strong but the asking price of the Austrian club at the moment is €25million, a figure that the club considers too high.

Chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and intermediaries are therefore talking to Salzburg to try and lower the asking price, and it is possible that Lucas Paqueta could be sold to finance the move.

Lazio are also keen on the player, as are other European clubs, and he perfectly fits Elliott Management’s proposed vision as he is young and talented.

The Tonali track is more complicated as Inter are currently leading the charge, with Brescia’s demands high (a €50m asking price has been mentioned), but Antonio Conte is pushing for the purchase.

The Lega Serie A announced a provisional date to resume the 2019-20 fixture list from June 13, with contact training to begin on Monday, after a medical protocol was agreed.

Following the requested changes to the medical protocol – which continue to cause controversy among clubs and above all chief medics – a go-ahead has been given to resume group training from Monday May 18.

A statement was then released by the Lega Serie A, confirming “the date of June 13 for the restart of the season.”

However, it’s worth noting that the protocol means if one player or member of staff tests positive for COVID-19 after the group training begins on Monday, the entire squad will have to go into quarantine for 15 days.

Unlike the Bundesliga model, we won’t see just the player or staff member isolated and the others repeatedly tested.

There is also the sticking point of responsibility, as club medics do not want to be consi

The beginning of the end...

Siku kama ya leo mwaka 2012 klabu ya AC Milan iliwaaga nyota wake wapatao sita ambao waliitumikia timu hio kwa mahaba yaliotukuka.

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has claimed it would be ‘a disaster’ to cancel Serie A and said the Italian government ‘doesn’t want to help football’.

Serie A has set a date for the resumption of the championship but Tare expects complications during the retreats and claims Germany has the best protocol to conclude the season.

“We will try to win the championship if Serie A resumes, if not, we try again next year” Tare told La Repubblica.

“Those who say we can’t complete the championship only for personal interests have not understood anything.

“Football gives 370,000 people a living, if it stops, it will be the fall of many and Italy will lose pieces of its history, not only sports.

“It will be a social disaster. Stopping now means, almost certainly, that we can’t resume in September either.

“Many months of inactivity would be unbearable. They envy us and think that football is only Serie A, instead there are thousands of people and families who are working. We have a duty to defend them.”

Chief medic Ivo Pulicini claimed the protocol demanding the whole group quarantine for one positive COVID-19 case is ‘truly ridiculous’ and Tare agrees with the Lazio doctor.

“I can’t think that Minister [of Sport Vincenzo] Spadafora is so irresponsible that he would do it on purpose, but there are governments in Europa that want to help football.

“Germany, Spain, England. In Italy it’s not like that, and not even in France, where they have terminated everything. I think the French government will lose many civil cases against the clubs.

“Let’s avoid a summer in court. They are making fun of us, these constant complications are ridiculous. The consequences will prove enormous.

“Economic, social, sports and psychic. People are nervous and football is therapeutic. Many of us need it. Football can be the sign of life that really starts again.

“The German health protocol is the best; many swab tests and if there’s a positive case, only he will be subject to isolation, not the entire group.

“They play and if someone decides to go home, they can, but will have to pay for his weekly tests for him and his family.
“At Lazio, after the serological tests, we all tested negative and no player has ever left Rome

There is no part of him that was lacking, and football fans all over the world, loved and admired him.

In a recent friendly match, the ref yellow carded him and the next thing, posed for a selfie with him.

He is as well loyal to his fans too.

We love him, and the football world loves him too.

1. Gaucho Ronaldinho

There is nothing that I can write here that can justify how much Gaucho is loved and adored by both football and non football fans. No adjective can qualify is attributes and qualities. No word can define the amount of love this man requires. As a matter of fact, we don't love him enough, for he has loved us, blessed us and inspired our love for the beautiful game. I have NEVER heared anyon

Despite the rumours in recent months, Elliott Management have no intention of selling AC Milan. The American hedge fund has already invested many millions into the club, working to bring it back to the top of football.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the owners have one clear goal they must reach before selling the club: build a sustainable project that will gain results both on and off the pitch.

That way, they will get the club closer to their initial valuation of €1bn+. Taking a look at the club’s situation right now, no buyer would pay that amount. Therefore, the Singer family is far from done with their adventure in the football world.

Ralf Rangnick is expected to replace Stefano Pioli this summer, as Milan have already started preparing for the transfer window with him, per Tuttosport. The youth revolution could thus take place and it might just be what the Rossoneri need.

AC Milan have refused to comment the words of Paolo Maldini or Ralf Rangnick but a phone call has happened with the German coach.
The last days have been chaotic at Casa Milan. Just when the Rossoneri had returned to train as normal and Serie A restart date seems closer, media statement from Ralf Rangnick triggered the ire of club legend Paolo Maldini.

In an interview with the German media Ragnick again confirmed talks with AC Milan but in a form that seemed like pressure to close a deal soon.

“There has been interest from AC Milan but with the Coronavirus situation there are other things to consider, besides thinking if Ralf Rangnick is the right man for them or vice versa. If theoretically I have to think about going somewhere else, I should to be able to do things my way”, he declared in an interview with Mitteldeutsche Zeitung.

The reaction of Maldini was immediate and strong inviting the German to “learn respect before learning Italian“. “Having never spoken to Rangnick, I do not understand on what basis his statements are based, also because I have never been told anything about the ownership.

Speaking of a role with full managerial powers in both the sporting and technical areas, he invades areas where professionals with regular work contracts. I have some advice for him, before learning Italian he should review the general concepts of respect, as there are colleagues who, despite the many difficulties of the moment, are trying to finish the season in a very professional way, putting the best of Milan before their professional pride”, declared Paolo Maldini.

However, Paolo Maldini is not the only one irritated by the comments of Rangnck. According to Il Giornale, Ivan Gazidis, CEO of Milan, did not like the last sortie of Ralf Rangnick. Ivan Gazidis went as far as to call the German coach, who tried to apologize and to put an end to this whole affair: “I was in the car, I was attending a charity event, they asked me a question“.

AC Milan could step up their interest in Paderborn centre-back Luca Kilian this summer should Ralf Rangnick arrive, a report claims.

Kilian made the headlines as unfortunately became the first Bundesliga player diagnosed with Coronavirus back in March. The 20-year-old is a German U21 international and has made 14 appearances in all competitions this season.

Alessandro Jacobone was the first to link him with Milan earlier this week, adding that Rangnick could choose to play either a 4-4-2 at Milan or maybe even a 3-4-3, but the signing of a quality centre-back is deemed necessary either way.

Now, German outlet Kicker (via MilanNews ) have also picked up on the link, claiming that the the young German centre-back be one of the first signings that Rangnick goes for if he were to join Milan.

Kilian could move for €2million in the summer as he currently has a release clause in his contract, and he will likely look to stay in the top flight with Paderborn currently set for relegation from the Bundesliga.

*This summer, many changes will be made at AC Milan as a youth revolution is on the way. Therefore, the Rossoneri are scanning the market for potential targets, along with Ralf Rangnick who is set to become the new manager.*

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), Samuele Ricci is one of three midfielders that Milan have added to their wish list (read the full story here). However, Rangnick has put their interest on hold.

The German manager wants to see more of the Empoli starlet, who has made 21 appearances in Serie A this season. In other words, Rangnick hasn’t had time to fully evaluate the 18-year-old and until then, no moves will be made.

Taking on a double role as head coach and director of the technical area, Rangnick will certainly have a lot of power at the club. Milan fans can only hope that the youth project will work out well after years of disappointments.

*Lucas Paqueta’s future is destined to be far away from AC Milan. The Brazilian midfielder, who has a contract until 2023 with the Rossoneri, has failed to impress and now the search for a buyer is ongoing.*

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Paqueta isn’t well suited for the tactics that Ralf Rangnick wants to implement at Milan for next season. Therefore, they are likely to part ways in the summer.

Furthermore, given his age and potential, there are still suitors on the market. Milan invested €35m in the player in January of last year and there is now a chance to make a small capital gain, while he could also be offered in swap deals.

For this reason, among the hypotheses on the table, Milan are more inclined to favour the one that would bring Paqueta to Benfica in exchange for Florentino Luis. Fiorentina are also interested but their offer hasn’t attracted the Rossoneri’s interest.

However, there is an obstacle in the negotiations with Benfica as they value their youngster at €45m and Paqueta at €30m. Therefore, Milan need to convince the Portuguese side to lower their claims for the 20-year-old.

Bennacer: 'Want to win everything with Milan'

PSG transfer target Ismael Bennacer hails teammate Zlatan
Ibrahimovic for ‘seeking perfection’ and assures he wants to ‘win
everything with Milan.’
The Algeria international has been repeatedly linked with a move to
Paris Saint-Germain, but it’s reported €40m offers have already
been rejected.
According to his interview with the Rossoneri social media team today,
he is in absolutely no rush to leave San Siro.
“If I think of the history of this great club and I pull on that
jersey, I just want to fight hard and give my all. I want to win
everything with Milan,” said Bennacer.
Since January, he has had Ibrahimovic as a teammate and is eager to
learn from the Swede’s attitude.
“Zlatan is that kind of player who always helps you to give your best,
because he wants perfection and you have to seek it if you want to be
the best. You can’t make a mistake with Zlatan around, and that’s
fine with me, as it encourages me to keep getting better.
“He sits next to me in the dressing room, so if I don’t do well in a
training session, he makes fun of me. He wants to be at a high level
until he retires and his career has been simply fantastic.”
