Leo Duarte was ready to get back on the pitch, but then bad luck struck. In fact, he will be out once again, following the serious injury that kept him out between November and March.

Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews.it, reported that the Brazilian had sustained a muscle injury during yesterday’s training. They added that a recovery phase of 3-4 weeks is likely, a big blow for the defender of course.

However, MilanNews.it have contradicted these reports this evening, stating that Duarte managed to avoid a serious injury. In fact, the former Flamengo man is just suffering from an overload without any visible damage.

Therefore, the recovery phase should take just two weeks, at most, for the 23-year-old who is eager to prove his worth at the club. With Simon Kjaer and Mateo Musacchio ahead in the pecking order, it will be hard for him to get any playing time.

Ismael Bennacer continues to be linked with a summer exit, following an impressive season with AC Milan. The latter paid just €16m for the midfielder, per Transfermarkt, and now the price has certainly increased.

Earlier this evening, Footmercato reported that Man City and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on the Algerian, who joined Milan from Empoli last summer. Furthermore, the report added that there is a €50m release clause in the Milan star’s contract.

Initially lacking confirmation in Italy, MilanNews.it have now verified the release clause’s existence. That being said, it’s still a hefty price tag even for a player like Bennacer, especially in today’s market where the Coronavirus effect is evident.

The Italian outlet also confirmed the interest of Man City and Paris Saint-Germain, who are monitoring the situation with great interest. Above all the English side, with Pep Guardiola at the helm of the interest, as the report concludes.

Lingard asking about Milan life
by Football Italia
English reports suggest Jesse Lingard is eager to join Milan and spoke to former Manchester United teammates Ashley Young and Chris Smalling about Serie A life.

The Independent newspaper, Metro and others all state that Lingard is ready to leave Old Trafford after losing his place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

He had already been linked with Milan in the past and hiring agent Mino Raiola only reinforced that idea.

It’s reported 27-year-old England international Lingard has called up his former teammates to ask how they are doing in Serie A.

Smalling has been transformed at Roma and is in negotiations for a permanent move, while Young saw his form revitalised following the January switch to Antonio Conte’s Inter.

Manchester United are believed to be asking for €20m in order to sell Lingard, but his salary may well be an even bigger issue for the Rossoneri.

🎙️ Ismaël Bennacer at Sportweek

"What have we missed this year? Victory against a big club. We are a young team, we are working to grow. On the ground, we must be united, even more compact, we must die for each other." https://t.co/fm9Ve19igK

"A new coach? I don't think about it. I think I'm going to finish well this season, we're still 12 games away from the end of the season. I feel ready, I miss football so much."

Arriving from Empoli last summer, Rade Krunic has made just eleven appearances for AC Milan this season, six of them from start. The Bosnian has, therefore, been linked with a summer exit.

According to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), Krunic has been identified as the perfect addition by Torino, who are looking for a mezz’ala to increase the quality of the squad. Previously, they also considered signing Jack Bonaventura.

Milan have set an asking price of €8m for Krunic, which is the same amount they paid Empoli last summer. Of course, this figure is within reach for Torino, who are keen on bouncing back after what has been a disappointing season so far.

The final decision will be made by Ralf Rangnick, who is expected to lead the youth revolution at the club. Krunic will turn 27 in October and given that the German manager has a 24-and-under policy, his future may have been decided already.

Paris Saint-Germain, with Leonardo as the sporting director, has turned their attention to AC Milan ahead of the summer transfer window. Three players in particular have ended up on their radar.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via Milanlive.it), they are Gigio Donnarumma, Lucas Paqueta and Ismael Bennacer. All three have been linked with a departure this summer, although Milan only want to sell the Brazilian.

As for the goalkeeper, any negotiations will depend on the contract renewal, which Milan should discuss with Mino Raiola very soon. If they can’t reach an agreement, he will be sold and the Rossoneri can get around €50m.

Paqueta hasn’t convinced this season but Leonardo appreciates his qualities, having brought him to Milan from Flamengo last year. In order to avoid a loss, the midfielder will only leave for a fee of €25-30m.

Finally, PSG are pushing for Bennacer and have already had a €30m offer rejected. There is a €50m release clause in his contract and for anything less than that, Milan will decide to keep the Algerian for next season
