According to the latest from broadcaster SportMediaset (via MilanLive), the formation will be a 4-2-3-1 – the one used in the weeks leading up to the break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ante Rebic will lead the attack, while Rafael Leao will start from the bench. Behind the Croatian will be Bonaventura, Paquetà and Calhanoglu as three attacking midfielders. Pioli wants to give the Brazilian a chance after his exploits in training.

In the midfield the duo of Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie will again be deployed. Simon Kjaer joins Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of defence, with Davide Calabria on the left and Andrea Conti on the right.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Calabria; Kessie, Bennacer; Paquetà, Calhanoglu, Bonaventura; Rebic.

This Friday (12th of June, 2020), Juventus will host AC Milan at the Allianz Stadium for the second leg of the Coppa Italia Semi Final. The game comes 100 days after its original schedule due to the word-wide Corona virus pandemic.

The first leg which took place at San Siro ended in a draw. Just as it seemed AC Milan was going to defeat Juventus, Cristian Ronaldo scored a stoppage-time penalty to salvage a 1-1 draw. It was a controversial game between the two – as usual – seeing AC Milan defender Theo Hernández sent off before the end of the game. He will be unavailable (suspended) for Milan on Friday in this semi-final return leg. Samuel Castillejo and Zlatan Ibrahimović are also suspended for the match. All three being key players will be unavailable for AC Milan on Friday leaving a selection headache for Milan’s coach, Stefano Pioli.

Luckily for Juve, none of their key players are suspended for this return leg. Ronaldo was seen in great shape over the weekend during training while Dybala has fully recovered from Corona Virus. It’s likely we will see a 4-3-1-2 formation from Sarri with the duo leading Juve’s attack. Aaron Ramsey should be playing behind the two men. Both Ronaldo and Dybala have 2 goals each for Juventus in this tournament.

In the first leg, Juventus had more possession: 58% while AC Milan had only 42%. There were 24 shots taken in that game; 16 for AC Milan while Juventus had half of that number; 8. However, only 11 shots were on target for Milan while 4 were on target for Juventus. Juve completed 544 passes while Milan completed 320 passes. Out of recovered possession Milan had the higher number; 81 while Juve recovered only 23. Ante Rebic scored Milan’s only goal in 61st minute before the spot kick by Cristiano Ronaldo put the game at 1-1.

About 73,000 spectators were present for the first leg at San Siro. However, due to the current health concerns this match will be without spectators. A maximum total of 300 people will be allowed in the stadium -- including players and match officials.

A 2-1 victory for Juventus is predicted at full-time.

Match Day: Semi-Finals (2nd Leg)

Venue: Allianz Stadium, Turin.

Date: 12th of June, 2020

Kick-off: 20:45 (Local Time)

Competition: Coppa Italia

West Ham beat Milan to Bakayoko?
Football Italia33 Minutes Ago

Comments
West Ham United have reportedly moved ahead of Milan in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Monaco have a €42m option to keep Bakayoko beyond this season, but they seem unlikely to activate it in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 26-year-old was reported to have offered himself to Milan, but Spanish outlet Transfer20 claims West Ham are making the most headway right now.

Chelsea paid €40m for his services in the summer of 2017, but his stock has fallen since his big move, compounded by the general curb on spending.

Transfer20 also writes Sevilla were interested in Bakayoko but withdrew from the running once COVID-19 became a global health emergency.

The Hammers appear keen to land a combative central midfielder, as seen by their interest in Fiorentina’s Erick Pulgar.

Report: Jovic 'yes' to Milan
Football Italia1 Day Ago

Comments
Milan could be closing in on a deal for Luka Jovic as it reported the Real Madrid striker has given the green light.

According to Le Bombe di Vlad, Jovic has already said ‘yes’ to joining Milan, who now have to negotiate the terms of his transfer.

Madrid paid Eintracht Frankfurt €60m for the 22-year-old last summer, but he scored just two goals in 24 games before the coronavirus lockdown.

He courted controversy during the lockdown for breaking curfew and suffered a heel injury, ruling him out of the season’s restart in Spain.

The website also cites Spanish reports that claim Los Blancos are running out of patience with Jovic, who recently barbequed with friends despite nursing an injury and social distancing remaining in place.

The Rossoneri, meanwhile, see the Serb as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s long-term heir and would like to reunite him with ex-Eintracht strike partner Ante Rebic.

Pioli reveals Paqueta is ‘one of the most in shape’; highlights Bennacer’s ‘room for growth’

Stefano Pioli has highlighted one AC Milan player who came back looking especially fit and commented on Ismael Bennacer’s future as a player.
On Friday evening, Milan will face the trip to Turin to face Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg, with kick-off scheduled at 21:00. However, it will be far from easy for the Rossoneri.
The first leg of the semi-final ended 1-1, as Juventus converted a penalty in the final minutes of the game. As if it wasn’t already tough, the Bianconeri’s away goal has made Milan’s road to the final even tougher.
Multiple reports are claiming that midfield Lucas Paqueta has returned from the COVID-19 break with renewed enthusiasm and looking incredibly fit, and last weekend he netted a brace in a friendly match organised by Pioli.
He is in line to start the game at the Allianz Stadium in what could be a turning point in his Milan career, and in his pre-match press conference Pioli heaped praise upon the Brazilian.
“I have to say they returned in good shape. They worked hard at home and are working hard here,” he said (via Milan’s official Twitter account).
“It goes without saying no one will be in perfect condition tomorrow and that goes for our opponents too. Lucas Paqueta is one of the most in shape.”
There continues to be an abundance of speculation regarding the future of Ismael Bennacer, with PSG, Real Madrid and both Manchester clubs strongly linked.
“Bennacer has already shown excellent characteristics, he has performed well consistently this season,” Pioli said.
“Given his age and position though, I believe he still has a lot of room for growth. He is very generous and hard-working, and if he keeps that attitude his growth will be constant.”

Juventus-Milan, for the Rossoneri three players disqualified and five warned.

In tomorrow's match against Juventus, Milan will have to do without three key elements: Theo Hernandez, Samu Castillejo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are disqualified. Among the ranks of the Rossoneri there are five wary men, who in case of a warning will miss the eventual Italian Cup final: Davide Calabria, Franck Kessie, Simon Kjær, Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic. In Juventus there are no disqualified, while there are three warned: Gonzalo Higuain, Blaise matuidi and Aaron Ramsey.

📰 ML: Kessie through to Romagnoli - #ACMilan's possible penalty takers vs. Juventus.

The prospect of the Coppa Italia semi-final between AC Milan and Juventus being decided via a penalty shootout must be considered.
In the event of a 1-1 score between the two sides on Friday evening in Turin, it will be up to spot kicks to decide who will contest the final in Rome.
As MilanLive notes, Zlatan Ibrahimovic – the most experienced Milan sniper from 12 yards – will not be available to do his usual duties as he is suspended.
The first choice will be Franck Kessie as he is the back-up penalty taker anyway, and the Ivorian has a great record for the Rossoneri.
Pioli will then be able to count on other players like Ante Rebic, Giacomo Bonaventura, Hakan Calhanoglu and Lucas Paquetà – all of whom are likely to be on the list due to their more technical nature.
The report adds to watch out for captain Alessio Romagnoli, who last year in the semi-final against Lazio (decided on penalties) he scored the winning spot kick.
Maurizio Sarri has plenty of choice too: from Cristiano Ronaldo to Dybala, passing through Miralem Pjanic, Leonardo Bonucci and Douglas Costa.

*OFFICIAL: Coppa Italia from Friday*

The Coppa Italia has finally been given the green light to kick off at the semi-final stage tomorrow with Juventus-Milan.
Although the dates for the second legs became public knowledge two weeks ago, they had yet to be ratified by PM Giuseppe Conte.
Now, less than 24 hours before Juve-Milan is due to get under way, Conte announced he had signed a decree allowing the ties to go ahead.

“I have just signed a new DPCM (government decree), allowing sporting events, competitions and, therefore, the Coppa Italia to resume behind closed doors and in compliance with the protocols issued in order to limit spread of the contagion,” he said this evening.
On the other hand, amateur contact sports including five-a-side football will have to wait at least two more weeks to restart.
“From June 25, amateur contact sports will resume, or rather they can resume, if regions believe the conditions exist for them to do so.”
Serie A will get going again on June 20, resuming from the postponed games of the 25th matchday.
