GdS: Milan’s future guaranteed thanks to Elliott’s solidity despite record losses

By Nikita Fesyukov - 10 October 2020, 12:12

AC Milan confirmed a loss of 195 million euros yesterday, as the Coronavirus effect made itself felt and has had a heavy impact on the financial situation of the club, even though this is the case of essentially every club during these tough times.

As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport (via milannews.it), the lack of box office revenues was one of the factors that affected Milan’s balance sheet heavily. Moreover, there is still no certainty when matches can return to being played with full stadiums.

The other factor is that of television revenues. The stop imposed on Serie A during the lockdown reduced the number of games played until June and thus also the revenues from these rights.

In short, this is a hard blow, but not only for Milan, but every club in world football. Nevertheless, Elliott’s project doesn’t change and goes on. The ownership is solid and has cancelled Milan’s debts.

The goal is now to restore a balance between costs and revenue. Since July, the hedge fund owned by the Singer family has injected approximately 140 million into the club, continuing its cost rationalization policy also through the reduction of the wage bill. And this is the way to go.

📰Daniele Longo: AC Milan keeps an eye on Nuno Mendes. Massara had already attempted to sign him from Sporting Lisbon in mid-September but the club wasn't open for a sale. However Milan's director doesn't give up, new contacts are expected soon with the agents of the player.

📰CorSport: Pioli has 3 alternatives for Rebic on the left flank. The Coach is tempted to use Leao but it would mean making the formation offensive and unbalanced.
Brahim Diaz will be taken under consideration.
But, the choice should fall on Saelemaekers.

Milan, Brahim Diaz: "I'm here because it's a big club. Ibra? He gives
me many advices"

From the goal against Crotone to the two against Far Oer with U21
Spanish National team, Brahim Diaz is in a great moment, and to EFE
microphones he has declared: "I had many offers, but I chose Milan
because it's a big club. We have to keep working, we're a young team
with experienced guys that help us". The more experienced player is,
of course, Ibrahimovic: "He have been giving me many advices since I
came here, and he's doing difference on the pitch, despite his age".
About Theo Hernandez saying to La Gazzetta dello Sport that he will
have red and black hair in case of a qualification to the Champions
League: "I'll do myself too, and then we will have a selfie".

📰@86_longo: Vitaliy Mykolenko of Dynamo Kyiv is a Ukrainian left-back, and if necessary he can play as a centre-back. He's 21 years old. He is one of the players that Milan keeps a close eye on. https://t.co/UVAB7nArFT

Real Madrid consider moving another talent to AC Milan
Posted on October 11, 2020 by Rossonero

Real Madrid are not happy with the low play time of Takefusa Kubo at Villarreal and considering loaning him to AC Milan in January.
In recent seasons AC Milan have always done business with Real Madrid. Theo Hernandez joined last year for 20 million while Brahim Diaz arrived this summer on loan with Nacho Fernandez almost following him at the Rossoneri.

Another Real Madrid player that has been on AC Milan’s radar for a while is Takefusa Kubo. The Japanese talent was one of the many names Milan considered bringing at San Siro during the summer.

This season Kubo was loaned to Villarreal but Los Blancos are not happy with his low play time. The 19-year-old left winger has made 5 appearances but always at the end of the games for a disappointing total of 54 minutes. Real are considering calling him back in January and, according to reports from Calciomercato (via MilanLive), Madrid want to loan Kubo for the remaining of the season at AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are a young squad with many promising talents and Real Madrid have an excellent relationship with the Italians. Takefusa Kubo is only 19 years old, but he is considered one of the best talents in the Spanish league. Last season he made 35 appearances with Mallorca scoring 4 goals and assisting 5.

He has the right characteristics to fit in Stefano Pioli’s formation and can also play on the left wing and as attacking midfielder. A flamboyant player capable of creating superiority and turmoil in opposing defenses with dribbling and sudden accelerations. AC Milan remain interested observers of his situation.
