AC Milan are set to complete the signing of Anderlecht midfielder Sambi Lokonga in the January window, reports from Belgium claim.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier in the month that the Rossoneri could look to Anderlecht once again for their next midfield reinforcement one year after the surprise signing of Alexis Saelemaekers, with Lokonga a target on their wish list.

They added that Saelemaekers has personally recommended him to Stefano Pioli, while Belgian source DH reported that Lokonga could leave the Brussels club but he will not do so in the current window, though Milan, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich are keen.

According to information from 4Sporting – a video podcast dedicated to Anderlecht and as cited by Walfoot – Lokonga is all set to join Milan for an amount of €30million.

That would make him the most expensive outgoing transfer in the history of Anderlecht, and they add that Paolo Maldini was also in Brussels to try to finalise the deal yesterday.

Mario Mandzukic is like a loaded gun, ready to go back to doing what he enjoys most: playing football, and doing it in Serie A.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports how the Croatian is ready to fight and could even feature against Atalanta if he were needed despite having just joined group training yesterday. He demonstrated it at Milanello though, during the mixed-squad game with the Primavera team.

During that exercise Mandzukic showed Pioli his characteristics and what he can give right away, and the coach intends to have him to the bench in the match against Atalanta. He wants to involve him immediately, something which should benefit the 34-year-old, who it must be said has not stopped training for a single day over the last few months.

A motivated player has arrived in Milan, who has returned to Italy to play a big part and prove that Maurizio Sarri and Juventus were wrong for deeming him surplus to requirements. Mandzukic is ready to start again and to amaze everyone once again.
