According to @tuttosport, in the probable Rossoneri formation that will take the field in the derby, in defence there could be a ballot between Tomori and Kjaer for a place alongside Romagnoli.
The Dane was on the bench for 90 minutes in Belgrade and appears to be the favourite.

Kessié: ‘Milan will win the derby’
Football Italia

Comments
Franck Kessié is convinced Milan will win the derby and reveals Zlatan Ibrahimovic will take a penalty kick if the Rossoneri will be awarded one.

Only Gigio Donnarumma and Theo Hernandez have played more minutes than Kessié at Milan so far in the campaign and they are all sure starters in tomorrow’s Derby della Madonnina.

“It’s not easy to play for Milan, but they signed me and it means they saw something in me,” Kessié told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“A new coach arrived, it took time to understand what he wanted, but when a new coach arrives, it means something is not working and we need to pay more attention.”

Inter leapfrogged Milan on top of the Serie A table last week. Is it something the Rossoneri should be worried about?

“No, there are many games left, even if there are apparently many difficulties, we are going to win the derby and return to the top of the table.

“We are a united group that thrives in difficulties. We are working hard and we believe we can win the Scudetto. Everybody knows in Italy you can lose against any team, also the last one, it’s not necessary to be worried.”

Who will take a penalty, if Milan will be awarded one?

“Ibra, and he will be happy about the result,” the 24-year-old said.

Leao: “Position changes don’t matter for me, we want to honour the shirt AC Milan‘s Portuguese talented and versatile attacker Rafael Leao spoke to the media in view of the return game against Red Star Belgrade. Here are his words: On the importance of passing to the next round of Europa League: “Every match is important. We are AC Milan and we enter the field to win. Tomorrow we want to win and try to move forward in this competition.” On the changes between playing on the sides or being central: “It does not matter to me which position I play in. I want to give my all for the team and help. If it is possible to make an assists or a goal, then it is great but the most important thing is to win.” On the criticism directed to Milan’s form recently: “We are not less stronger just because of our recent results. We are working very hard, and we want to prove it tomorrow.”

On his growth:

“I have to thank coach Pioli who gives me confidence every day as well as my teammates. I always try to listen to everyone and help the team with whatever that I can do”.

On how the team is doing during this period of the season:

“We are fine. We keep our heads held high. We know that we did not play well in the last few games. However, we have looked at our errors and we want to show a reaction.”

On if there is still enthusiasm even after the recent disappointing result of the team:

“The staff gave us confidence. We are young. We try to enter the pitch with confidence. We want to honour this shirt. We are calm, and we want to take advantage of the opportunities presented to us.”

On Ibrahimovic’s help to make him improve further:

“This year I felt much better than last year. As I have always said, Ibrahimovic like an older brother for us who teaches us a lot. His most important characteristic is his mentality. We are stronger with him.”

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss some training sessions to attend the Sanremo Festival next week.

Ibrahimovic’s appearance at the festival has been a big talking point for several weeks now, especially based on how the player and Milan would organise the week around the commitments.

Il Corriere della Sera reported this morning (via MilanNews) that Ibra will be on stage every night except Wednesday when he will be on the pitch at San Siro in the match against Udinese. To prevent the Swede from commuting between Milan and Sanremo, the player will stay for a few days on the Riviera where he will train with help of a Milan trainer and a physiotherapist on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Pioli was interviewed by Sky Italia on the eve of Milan’s Europa League Round of 32 second leg against Red Star, and was asked about Ibrahimovic’s plans for the next week.

“He is calm and determined. There is a person, a champion, a boy who can withstand pressures it is Zlatan, or rather, perform even more competitive performances,” he said (via MilanNews).

“We have studied a plan to have him available as much as possible, he will skip some training, he will have our trainers to train. He is focused on the next matches to help the team as he always has.”
