📰 @86_longo: De Paul is a target of AC Milan but, due to the payment formula and total price of the player, it is currently difficult for the operation to end successfully. https://t.co/mPZyAkoHNz

📰 @86_longo: AC Milan re-opened talks with Hakan Çalhanoğlu entourage in the last hours. Rossoneri’s conditions are always the same, Hakan Çalhanoğlu is expected to give a final answer within a week. Milan want to solve the contract renewal before the starting of EURO2020. https://t.co/N2MVJeLpZD

📰 Gazzetta: Rafa Leao’s season was under his standards, also with the Portuguese national team he can’t find the right position. However, Milan is sure: the talent is not on the market. A loan is almost an impossible option, so the 1999’s player has to fight for a place. https://t.co/rEiDfpDwjj

🚨🚨Giroud: “I really liked several players from Milan like Van Basten, they are a great club, but I will not talk about my future. Chelsea activated in April the extension option, they announced it . I won’t speak about my club future. I am focused on the Euro.”

🗣️Szczesny: "My future? I will answer this question once and for all. It's been in the media for a while & it is worth talking about. I have had no contact with my club or with others, because there is no discussion about my departure. I am not responsible for Juve's transfers."

AC Milan could take advantage of their excellent relationship with Real Madrid to secure some reinforcements in cost-effective deals, a report claims.

MilanNews writes how Maldini and Massara will as always be looking at opportunities that arise to strengthen the Rossoneri squad, and the great rapport with Real Madrid – especially with the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti who has a bond with Maldini – can be exploited. Below are some players the source believes could be of interest to Milan.

Nacho Fernandez: Nacho can play centre-back or right-back, has experience playing in the Champions League and has a contract which is due to expire in 2022. Renewal negotiations have not yet found an agreement, so he could be sold at a reasonable price.

Alvaro Odriozola: The Spanish full-back has been with Real Madrid since the summer of 2018, when he was signed from Real Sociedad for a sum close to €30m. Although the expectations for him were very high, his performances have been inconsistent. A loan to Bayern Munich ended with the German club deciding not to sign him permanently, and he could move on this summer.

Dani Ceballos: Real Madrid paid €17m to sign him from Real Betis but has not yet hit the heights expected. He has been linked to the Rossoneri but he chose to go on loan to Arsenal for two seasons. The Gunners have decided not to buy him outright, his contract is expiring in 2023 and Real will try to sell.

Isco: Isco is a top player who has had a difficult time recently due to various physical problems that have limited his performance. Given his contract is expiring in 2022, he would be a player who could make the Rossoneri attack take an important qualitative leap.

Marco Asensio: A forward who has amply demonstrated that he can be a protagonist at a top European club. In the summer of 2019 he suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament and was out for more than 8 months and since then he has found playing time harder. It is unlikely that Ancelotti will decide to sell, but if he did Milan could try.

Brahim Diaz: Milan know him well and will try to renew his loan by including an option to buy. The player found himself to be very happy in Italy and would gladly stay, and he is waiting to see if Ancelotti will give his approval.

Takefusa Kubo: Kubo has always been considered one of the greatest talents from Japan, and Real have loaned him to Mallorca, Villarreal and Getafe. He

Olivier Giroud has dropped a strong hint that he would welcome a move to AC Milan this summer despite having renewed with Chelsea.

Chelsea’s official website confirmed on Friday afternoon that the Frenchman has extended his contract until 2022 despite all the strong speculation that he is Milan-bound and the flattering words of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Giroud spoke in front of the media who gathered for a press conference before France’s European Championship campaign, and he was asked directly about interest from Milan.

“I loved some of Milan’s players, it’s a great club. But I wouldn’t talk about my future, Chelsea activated the option in April. for the renewal and they announced it. I will not talk about my future at club level, I am focused on the European Championships,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).

“I want to make it clear that Chelsea reactivated the clause on April and they recently announced it to comply with Premier League rules.” On Milan, he added: “I liked Van Basten and Shevchenko. Milan are a big club and one of the greats in Europe.”

The report goes on to mention that Milan have not given up on a deal for Giroud, but they have set clear conditions: the operation can be closed but only if it were a free transfer. The hope of the club, the player and his entourage is that Chelsea will not oppose a termination of the newly renewed contract (until 2022) in the event of a specific offer from abroad.

Rade Krunic is now expected to stay at AC Milan into next season despite rumours suggesting he was destined for an exit, a report claims.

As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive,) Krunic did seem set for an exit this summer but Milan have changed their minds regarding the fate of the Bosnia international. Milan have confirmed that Krunic will be a part of the Rossoneri squad next season despite the fact he has often been a reserve player.

His versatility however makes him very useful to Pioli as he has played as a holding midfielder, an attacking midfielder and as a left winger in the season that has just ended. He was purchased mainly as a possible replacement for Kessie or Bennacer in the midfield, but he has actually been more effective played further forward.

The former Empoli man has been defined as Stefano Pioli’s wild card and this is why Milan are inclined to keep him in the squad. If important offers were to arrive, Maldini and Massara would not close the door, but they are not actively shopping him.

If Juventus had found a solution for Szczesny, Donnarumma would already be a Juventus player today. They have not received any offer for the Szczesny. He was offered to Dortmund but they said "no". [@romeoagresti - Juventibus -@JuveFanInfoFR]

AC Milan’s recovery in recent times can be put down to several key factors which CEO Ivan Gazidis instated, according to a report.

MilanNews writes how the South African CEO arrived amid skepticism but he has instilled his vision of economic sustainability in advance of many other teams and a firm stance regarding the financial parameters in which the team must operate within, as seen in the Gianluigi Donnarumma case.

On the transfer market the Rossoneri fans should not expect crazy signings, but the right investments such as Theo Hernandez at €20m, Bennacer at €16m, Maignan at €13m and Tomori at €28m. If the player is considered strong, the will to invest will always be there.

Gazidis has also relied on three key figures: Paolo Maldini, Stefano Pioli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Each have a well-defined role, each important in their own way. Maldini has proven himself to be an excellent director, Pioli has convinced his doubters after initially being thought of as an interim and finally Ibrahimovic has led a young group with his experience, mentality and his goals.

AC Milan are set to recoup a small sum from the sale of Leo Duarte who has impressed his new club in Turkey, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how on Thursday a meeting was staged at Casa Milan between the Rossoneri management and the agents of the Brazilian defender Duarte, who is currently on loan with an option to buy at Istanbul Basaksehir.

The Turkish club are evaluating the possibility of signing the centre-back early, given that the option to buy expires in January and not this summer. The price has already been set at €5.5m, and there have been several enquiries about Duarte in recent weeks from other clubs as well, but priority has been given to the Turkish club.

Now, we will see if Basaksehir act in advance to trigger the option earlier than expected, especially given the competition they may face if they do not use it.

Milan has shown interest in Lee Kang-in, trequartista who plays for Valencia. His contract expires in 2022 but could be sold. Atletico Madrid, Wolverhampton, Napoli & Fiorentina also interested. Valencia would like a percentage of any future sale. Cost €15 million [Superdeporte]
