AC Milan fought hard and came from behind to earn a draw against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium last night.

Milan entered the game battling an injury crisis with no recognised striker available except the young Pietro Pellegri and little midfield depth, but they got a draw thanks to Ante Rebic’s header 14 minutes from the end after Alvaro Morata had opened the scoring.

Below are the best stats from the game, courtesy of the club’s official website…

➤ Milan have gone unbeaten in two consecutive Serie A matches against Juventus for the first time since 2012.

➤ Milan have, for the first time since February 1996 (Weah equaliser after Conte’s goal) avoided defeat away at Juventus in Serie A after trailing.

➤ No team has scored more headed goals against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium than Milan (four: Antonelli, Bonucci, Tomori and Rebić – level with Genoa).

➤ Ante Rebić is the first Milan player in the three-points-per-win era to score in three consecutive matches against Juventus.

➤ The Croatian forward’s two favourite victims in Serie A are the two Turin clubs: he has scored five against the Granata and three against the Bianconeri.

Fun fact: Tomori hasn't been dribbled past in the league this season.
more interestingly he’s yet to receive a yellow card since he joined us. despite his game being very intense & aggressive

📰 GdS: #ACMilan taking cautious approach with Kjaer despite positive MRI result.

The worst case scenario has been avoided for Simon Kjaer but he is expected to miss a week of action, according to a report.

There was a real blow in the 35th minute of Sunday night’s game against Juve as Kjaer hobbled and pulled up, requesting to come off, and the 23-year-old was replaced by Pierre Kalulu as Milan’s defence all of a sudden had a makeshift look about it.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that the magnetic resonance scan that Simon Kjaer underwent yesterday after the muscle injury suffered during Sunday’s match against Juventus fortunately ruled out injuries to the flexors and therefore a longer time out.

However, the paper does add that the Dane will almost certainly miss Milan’s next two league matches against Venezia (tomorrow) and Spezia (Saturday), therefore potentially returning for the game against Atletico Madrid at San Siro next Wednesday.

📰 #CorSpor: Olivier #Giroud’s 🇫🇷 back is improving and the player is running again. He should be called up for #MilanVenezia, but he will be starting from the bench. https://t.co/YJf5Ie0ax3

📰 #SkySport, Olivier #Giroud is not expected to play in the match between #ACMilan and #Venezia because he has not yet recovered from his post-Liverpool back problem. The French striker left #Milanello while the team was still training. https://t.co/AzZ1HraRbu
