The floating hospital has been designed and is being build by a large shipping manufacturer in the Netherlands.


he Floating hospital will be de-assembled into smaller portable components and shipped to Mombasa for forwarding to the New Kisumu port where it will be assembled and commissioned.



The floating hospital has solar panels for power and a helipad for evacuating the patients to MMTC

Also the Kakamega based hospital is now the referral facility for Bukwo regional hospital in eastern Uganda. The agreement was signed in January and now it receives about 200 patients from Uganda who come to Kakamega for specialized treatment. This is what east african community is meant to be. The Kenyan and Ugandan private sectors are leading the way to integration.
