Recently in Tanzania there has a grown variant social inequality compared to colonial regimes, where indigenous stood together to fight for the white dominations expecting that they will remove inequality gap that existed between whites and blacks. In that time though there was economic, social and political inequality but what was recognized the most was political inequality between the two classes.
At independence state founder stressed much on strengthening socio-economic cooperation by removing the gaps of those who haves and those who have not in the social reliance policy while strengthening social mobility, but things have changed now as economic inequality undermines social mobility.
It is common understanding from the economic perspective that when an economic inequality increases beyond compare, the rich pull off from the rest of the society, and their kin members are able to have opportunities for furtherance that are simply denied to the less well off. From this economic perspective, this becomes a reality that Tanzania is no longer nowadays a land of chances, and social mobility is decreasing compared to colonial regime which we suppressed to repress it with only black color ruling on more advanced crude neo-colonialism occupied with lust of leadership for their bell something contravenes the expectations of the founder of this state.
If it was the dream of freedom fighter to bring equality among society members, and if we still want a society free from inequality as I steal dreams, then we have to make our society rewards merit on hard work to any society members, rather than making reward (giving opportunity/ chances) on who your parents happen to be, and closing off the life chances of ordinary people. This dream may only realizable if we stop forcing ourselves adopting capitalism which doesnt fit our economic development, then we have to readopt socio-economic cooperation while enhancing social mobilization on mutual assistance.
