Nianze kwa kuwashukuru kwa kuusoma ujumbe huu!

Mimi ninamiaka 27 kwa umri. Nimemaliza shahada yangu ya kwanza mwaka 2011 chuo kikuu kishiriki cha UDSM, hadi naandika ujumbe huu, ndio natimiza miaka mi3 kazini. Naomba uangalie HINTS Zifuatazo kisha unishauri nisipotee au kuharibika kisaikolojia.

* Nilipokua O'level nilikua napenda sana kugonga ngoma wakati wa vipindi vya dini shuleni (UKWATA)

* Nilipokua A'level niliendelea kupiga ngoma kwenye vipindi vya dini na baadae nikajiunga kwaya ya UKWATA nikaendelea kupiga ngoma hadi nikateuliwa kua mwenyekiti wa kwaya. Bado nikaendelea na ngoma yangu.

* nilipohitimu A'level nilifaulu kombi yangu ya HGL .

* Mawazo yangu nilitamani sana kwenda kusomea MUSIC PRODUCTION (na sio kuimba)

* nlihangaika kutafuta namna ya kupata chuo ila ilikua changamoto sana maana vyuo vya music Tz ni sawa na havipo tu maana nasikia Bagamoyo bhaas.

* Nilikua mvivu wa kusoma maana kusoma vitabu kihiiivyo hapo kwenye akili yangu, ila Mungu amenijalia ubongo wenye kunasa na kunyumbua mwaswala.

* Nimepangiwa Shule ya Sekondari Simanjiro Iliyopo wilayani Simanjiro mkoani Manyara, ambapo ndipo nilipohitimu O'level

* Nafundisha Kingereza na Geografia. (nilisoma Linguistics na Geography chuo)

* Naweza kwenda kusoma masters kwa chochote kihusucho Education maana vigezo nimetimiza, ikiwemo muda niliotimiza kazini hadi sasa!

* Nipo njiapanda maana sipendi ualimu japo nauweza na; ndio unaonipatia mkate wangu wa kilasiku.

* Napenda sana na NATAMANI niwe mtengenezaji wa Vionjo vya music (MUSIC PRUDUCER)

* Muajiri hatoruhusu kwenda kusoma kwa kubadili fani kama muongoza wa utumishi unavyoeleza.

Kaka ushauri mzuri sana: Mie kwamawazo yangu naona kama hakuna utumwa unaouzidi ule wa kufanya kitu wakati hupendi. Kumbuka hata enzi ya mkoloni wale wanaotumikishwa mashambani walikua wanaweza SANA kupiga kazi ila hawakuwa wanapenda kweli!!!!!!

COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES
Introduction
The College of Humanities (CoHu) was established in October, 2013 following the split of the
former College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) into two independent colleges. It comprises
of six academic departments namely, Foreign Languages and Linguistics, Literature, Fine and
Performing Arts, History, Archaeology and Heritage, and Philosophy and Religious Studies. The
college also hosts the Centre for Communication Studies.
Purpose and Scope
The College of Humanities has an organized uniform structure for postgraduate courses in
Archaeology, Literature, History, Languages and Linguistics and Fine and Performing Arts with
particular emphasis for in-service government and parastatal personnel, and for the University's
own staff development.
Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of the postgraduate studies programme are:
a) To extend the existing generalized undergraduate studies by offering specialized teaching
and instruction at an advanced level to meet Tanzania's immediate professional needs.
b) To create awareness of the problems of African development and a personal commitment
to social reconstruction in Tanzania.
c) To encourage an interdisciplinary approach and joint research among all the University's
social sciences departments.
d) To generate teaching and research materials with direct relevance to contemporary policy
issues in Tanzania.
Duration of the Programme
The M.A. programmes offered by coursework and dissertation last for 18 months, whereas those
offered by research and thesis last for 24 months. The duration of Ph.D. programmes by
coursework and dissertation is 48 months whereas Ph.D. by thesis lasts for 36 months.
Programme Structure
Each programme includes core and optional courses. Core courses consist of basic work on
related academic or professional disciplines while optional courses are designed to make up a
particular specialization suited to each student's intended future occupation.
Eligibility for Admission into the Postgraduate Programmes
To be eligible for admission, the candidate must fulfill the following conditions:
i) A good Bachelor's degree or its equivalent; and
ii) Positive recommendations from the minimum of two referees.
Teaching Programme
Masters Degree programmes by coursework and dissertation are offered in all academic
departments. These departments also offer both Master and Ph.D. programmes by thesis, depending

on the availability of supervisory services. Teaching programme consists of nine months of
instruction, followed by a terminal period of nine months of writing a dissertation. The instructional
period is divided into two semesters, consisting of 15 teaching weeks and a 2-week period for
revision and semester examinations.
Examinations
i) Coursework Assessment:
Course assessment ordinarily counts for 50% towards the final marks in each course.
Coursework marks include semester tests, coursework exercises, or research papers.
ii) Final Examinations:
All courses are examined separately at the end of each semester, and before the start of the
research phase in each academic year. The marks and scripts are carried forward and considered
alongside the other results at the full Examiners' Board Meeting for the programme at the end of
the academic year.
Failures
No candidate shall be allowed to repeat the course. A candidate failing not more than 4 units may
be allowed to sit for supplementary examinations under conditions to be approved by the College
Board.
Allocation of Courses
A year's studies are divided to give approximately half the time to required core courses (including
one required common course), and half the time to optional courses selected in accordance with
a student's intended specialization. Course units for the year are allocated as follows:
Exemption
Any candidate who has taken any of the required courses at undergraduate level may, at the
discretion of the Department, be exempted from such courses. Such a candidate shall enroll in
equivalent work related to his/her needs and such work shall be examined in place of the exempted
courses.
Dissertation
The terminal period of 9 months is directed towards the completion of either (1) a research
paper or (2) an applied project. The M.A. degree will not be granted until this dissertation has
been satisfactorily completed.
