Form 3 - 1[SUP]st[/SUP] term
As I stood there with my friends
on the top floor of the school building
chatting and laughing on silly jokes.
I saw a girl coming our way with majestic moves of a baby antelope.
I thought she was a new student
for, her beauty I had never seen.
I stared at her beautiful eyes, lips and soft skin.
Her body, God must have put an extra hour to complete.
She greeted us, the voice of a soft-well played piano blues!
She walked by and gracefully went down the stairs
I wanted to call her back,
I wanted to let her know,
I had fallen in love with her I loved her, but I didn't know if she believed in love at first sight!

I was leading the morning exercises at the assembly.
I saw her somewhere in the line
I smiled..she smiled back, or was she laughing with her friend?
I saw her everywhere I went
I smiled at her every time we met
She smiled back..or was it my imagination?
We met again on the staircase
I wanted to call her back

My final year in school and life got serious
walking wit books all time..or was it to create the image?
I still saw her around, this time she came to my class
she had grown a bit, but still looked beautiful.
during sports..was it the Zebra house
I only went to see her, and it was worth it.
I couldn't take it anymore so "Hi", I said
and she replied, with a smile..or am I still dreaming?
No, she really smiled..I saw it!
I thought what a piece of work God had created
I was dying inside, of a disease highly infectious
She came to my class again, to talk to her friend
She left the class

No lies, life was really tough - although now it looks so simple
Maths, Physics, Chemistry and all subjects I had forced myself to do
But above all, I still saw her - more in my dreams this time!
I wasn't a genius or I would have devised a love potion for her
Or one to kill the viruses in me rather...
Then a friend of a friend told me to say it, for, you never know
Friday evening, running home late
We crossed path as she went to class
I wanted to call her back
I wanted to let her know,
I had fallen in love with her
I loved her, but I didn't know if she believed in love at first sight!

Exams came near...so near life became unbearable
I received cards from friends
but one that caught my attention..was this from her
I never saw it coming
I could have sworn I never expected a thing from her..I felt so great!
I wanted to thank her
I wrote her a note
I gave it to her through the classroom window..she walked away
I wanted to call her back
I wanted to let her know,
I had fallen in love with her
I loved her, but I didn't know if she believed in love at first sight!
After Graduation
I went on with life, High school and College
always asking myself what if I took the risk
what if I said it all
what if I called her back?
Would she just send me back and say she didn't love me?
I was dying inside, thinking without an answer
I wished I met met her someway
There without hesitation
I would have called her back
I would have let her know,
I had fallen in love with her

I see a new mail in my face-book account
I look to see who sent it
A colleague at high school some class behind me
Subject: I Wished You Loved Me Back
To: Mentor
From: Her
