But ofcourse, there are many benefits for the rail mostly from the 1bn dollar extra inflated price and lots of compensation for land used.

And that's what Magufuli is doing with central narrow gauge railway! By end of this year cargo trains will be moving at a speed of btn 70 and 80 km/h.
I believe Tz will get passenger trains from CRRC sifang qingdao

Not sure mzee, japokuwa sina favorite so far, maana naona kama Airbus, Alstom GE na Seiemens wanatia miguu kwa nguvu kubwa! Ukifuatilia mizunguko yao around EA unaweza ukajua kuna kuwindana. Juzi Airbus wamenunua Bombardier hii ina maana nao wamo!
Kiufundi hao wanne wako vizuri, hata mchina kachukua ujuzi kwao. Historia ya TAZARA inaweza kutuambia nani wazuri Zaidi! Mchina alipomaliza TAZARA vichwa vyake vingi havikudumu mpaka TAZARA ilipoamua kununua GE locomotives.
CRRC uses most high tech components from SIEMENS, ABB, etc. They don't have enough technology yet.
One can make a guess from the countries where TRC staff were sent for training:
South korea - operations, scheduling, running train services
Turkey- railway line engineering
China- rolling stock engineering
Ethiopia- operating electric line in Africa (same as South korea but with African context)
India- hard to guess, but it's maybe, they will be learning about GE cargo locomotives that India have.
None have been sent to "Europe" or America.

Ata mimi nahisi mchina anaeza akala tender, wame anza kwa kusafisha njia mapema sana. China wana mpango wa kujenga 5 mega transport universities in Africa kimoja kitakua Tanzania. Now they know better about Magufuli they wont take him for Kenyatta. Quality (latest technology) affordability and durability they bring those on the table and we cut a deal.
