Plans for #Walmart in India fuel divisive #FDI debate - storyful

A divisive row in India's parliament about opening up the retail sector to foreign investors, such as Walmart, spilled over onto Twitter on Tuesday. Many observers passionately argued in favour of the cabinet's decision to give global supermarket chains 51 per cent ownership, in the hope it will revolutionise the sector. But their opponents furiously argued that major retail chains will crush and close small shops and local businesses. The argument over Foreign Direct Investment (#FDI) been a contentious issue for years and is now dominating the Twitter chatter in India.

Mkuu senkyu for this post. Nashanga kwanini watu hawaja respond to this thread.... India is one of the countries every business man/enterprenuer wana go to take advantange of their both growing population and class level. Lakini wahindi naona wajanja sio kama hapa kwetu tunamkaribisha kila mtu kuua local investors and businesses.

If you allow every Tom, Dick and Harry in to ur country, they will make profits on the expense of local business and families. At least there at least some smart people out there who just dont decide on these stupid ventures in to their countries. Angalia hapa kwetu tuna Shoprite, Game, etc....na nasikia hao hao Wal Mart pia.....
