This is what I think on how we can move forward!
Introduce methods of farming that are different from digging a hole in the ground and cover it up with soil. Make agriculture a science. To farm this way, one needs to understand soil types, the fertilizers that type of soil require, and which crops to plant on what type of soil. This is the knowledge we require, to farm scientifically and on a scale big enough to contribute strongly to the national economy.
Thereafter industrialize the country, factories, mines, together with agricultural output to become the mainstay of the new economy, but controlled and understood by all Tanzanians.
Then we pursue the skills required to run such a country successfully.
We then introduce strong financial system – money (currency), banks, the stock market and linked with other stock markets in the world.
We have valuable minerals, sell them to our strong stock market and push their value to our standards. Procure formulae on how our Minerals like diamonds, gold, or oil, we are in possession may be refined and made into a product ready for sale in our stock markets, which we are in control.
We then deliberately put initiative to control technology and communications. Up to that extent we have the power of knowledge and vital skills, needed to run the economy and create jobs.
Lastly but not least important encourage our young ladies & gentlemen to pursue training which enables them to become scientists and engineers to realise the above deliberations. I rest my case!
