China Class 1 can run on Electric power.Uganda's side will be electric from the very onset. Kenya already set aside sh 49 billion a long time ago for the electrification on our side.
Yes ,AREMA is civil works.INFERIOR civil works.A simple google search can show the comparison between AREMA and China Class 1 which Kenya has and China Class 2 which Ethiopia has.
For starters, Tanzania's trains will never double stack.Ever. AREMA's civil works do not support such trains. Neither can it handle double engine trains.

A quick google of Kenya's SGR trains can show you that quite often, we double stack. EvenEthiopia's China Class 2 cannot double stack
