Nakumbuka kusoma kwenye internet miezi kadhaa iliyopita kuhusu benki moja ya Tanzania ilianzisha account (investment vehicle/product) ambayo unalipa Tshs laki tano kila mwezi kwa miaka 10 (miezi 120) na baada ya miaka 10 benki inakupa Tshs millioni 100. Sikumbuki kama ilikuwa ni gazeti online au blog ila ninaomba kama kuna mtu anaweza kuwa na link au kukumbuka gazeti ili isaidie kwenye google search. Nimejaribu ku google hiyo article sijaipata. Naomba kama kuna mtu anaweza kukumbuka iko wapi anisaidie kuiweka hapa jamiiforums.

I concur wit you Stuxnet.........we should be thinking of investing our efforts in wealth creation and not free rides like that..............na come to think of it kama investment ya nammna hii na unaouwezo ku generate pure profit ya kiasi gicho kwa mwezi ...............yaaani kwa hesabu ya kawaida ukiizidisha hiyo utakuwa mabali sana in just five yrs..............leat alone 10 yrs!

that's not easy lakini. Laki 5 kwa miaka kumi inamaana itakuwa ni 60m. Kama benki wanakulipa 100m inamaana ivestment uliyofanya imeproduce 40m.
Ukigawanya 40m kwa miezi yote 120 unapata 333,333. That means laki tano inaproduce amount hiyo each month. Is that not possible?

Habari imejitosheleza. Chukua muda usome vizuri the whole post utaielewa. Hilo jedwali linaonyesha number of months (2nd column), monthly contributions (3rd column), na maturity value (Future value) in the last column. Kama unavyoona the rate of return is the highest when you sign up for the longest period (n=120 months, i.e., 10 years). Ila mimi sio msemaji wa hiyo benki na wala sio mteja wao, nimeweka link unaweza kuwasiliana nao.

Hautoi laki tano mara moja. Unatoa laki tano kila mwezi for the next 10 years, i.e., 120 payments of 500,000 Tshs. Pia hakuna sehemu wanasema return ni 10% monthly, ila ukipiga mahesabu utaona ni about 10% annually. Fungua Excel na kwenye one of the cells type =FV(0.1/12,120,515000)

Hapo kwenye hiyo Excel function, FV stands for future value, 0.1 = 10% annual return rate, 12 is number of payments per 10 years, also number of compounding periods, na 515000 ni monthly payments utakazokuwa unaweka kwenye hiyo savings account. Kama una maswali usiogope kuuliza ila sihusiani na hiyo benki na wala sio mteja wao.

siwezi kubisha maana hakuna mtu aliyeona terms na conditions ya hiyo kitu zipo vipi. Wanaweza wakawa wanatoa m100 at the end of those 10yrs ila ukatakiwa kukatwa percent flani kufidia costs incurred.

Well, hata ingekuwa inawezekana inflation effects of 10 years are likely to wipe out the gains in real terms! Kumbuka shilling ya leo si shilling ya miaka 10 ijayo. Ndio maana landlords Kenya huwa hawataki kulipwa more than two months in advance labda uwe unalipa kwa USD au foreign currency acceptable.

Ni vizuri uulizie benki kwenyewe kama uko interested. Mimi sio mteja wao kwa hiyo sifahamu. Kuna mtu aliniambia niulizie ni benki gani.
