Is Lamu Port Still Creadible?

ni credible ama viable and if its the latter mine is yes because someone in pakwach Uganda would definately import through lamu since the infrastructure is available to ensure quick delivery of his/her goods to and fro and the distance being advantageous considering the other alternative options that is mombasa or dar.same case for someone from equitorial state in south sudan or for a person from gambella ethiopia this is their best option.Having been at moyale sometime back i can tell you that southern Ethiopia has been importing most of their electronics through kenya and now with the with the world class road build and completed i speak that trend hasn't toned down but rather increased.

Uganda is gearing up for Mombasa, that's why SGR is extended to kisumu and beyond. Since there is no pipeline deal to Lamu, I don't see Uganda picking up longer and expensive route to Lamu. So Lamu is left with Ethiopia and South Sudan, and these guys are busy looking for alternative options.
