Position: IT Supervisor
Position Overview
A senior position within Administration- IT Section which involves working with IT infrastructure services in site in supporting the business. This role involves working with a team of competent IT Administrators.
Reporting Line: Finance & Administration Manager
Location: North Mara Gold Mine, Tarime District. Mara Region.
Work Schedule: Rotation Status, (8 weeks on, 4 weeks off)
Key duties and responsibilities:
 IT reports preparation and presentation
 Perform IT Site Management
 Ensure the smooth day to day operations of North Mara Mine Networks
 Manage IT related projects as required, both in-house and outsourced. Monitor progress to ensure project delivered in a timely and cost effective manner
 Ensuring all the Information Technology General Controls(ITGC) is in place
 Participation and driving ITGC SOX Auditing for the site
 Monitor and supervise IT resources and staff
 Provide staff training in house where applicable
 Develop and maintain key relationships with Employees
 QA/QC processes for major IT projects
Skills and Competencies for the Position:
 Strong analytical skills
 Ability to work with all levels of staff
 Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
 Flexibility and ability to work within a multi- cultural environment
 Project management skills
 Strong attitude and commitment towards workplace health, safety and environment issues
 Prioritizing of tasks and good time management
 Ability to multi-task and handle pressure well
 Excellent problem-solving skills
Minimum qualifications for this position include:
 A holder of IT Degree from recognized University or any other related field
 5 or more years working experience in the field
 Experience in a Mining environment or similar industry would be an added advantage
 Possession of a valid Tanzanian Driving License.
 Experience with HP proliant servers
 Conversant with Veritas v.10 Backup software
 Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)
