· JK is dilly-dallying for too long

· He has already missed the chance to show that he was resolute and

unwavering with zero tolerance against corruption and fraud

· Swift and prompt actions were needed a week ago. Now it's already too late

· This shows that CCM has no commitment to transparency

· There should be no 2nd thought over the Escrow Account thieves

As we are wishing the President all the best as he convalesces after a successful cancer surgery, outrage and anger over the Tegeta Escrow Account continues to reverberate beyond the borders of East Africa. Adding to the sound and fury is our own Zanzibar Ni Kwetu.

It's unthinkable that the axe has so far not fallen on the thieves and that JK is still thinking and thinking over it. One would argue that for an axe to fall on the thieves, JK needs all the facts from further investigation and not from the few points that we heard from our Bunge.

That is fair enough! But, what extra facts are needed than the open confession of the thieves themselves to the media that they took the money from the Escrow Account?

Proper action at the right time was of essence in this saga.

Axing of such culprits today would not have the same effect as axing them when JK returned from his surgery a week ago. The quicker the action the better would have been the result.

JK definitely is making a wrong move in putting the fate of the thieves on hold this long. There is no question here of waiting for more investigation. The thieves were caught red-handed.

Waiting this long amounts only to sympathizing with these thieves and this will cost CCM in 2015.

With no action taken yet, the whole saga now looks ridiculous and Bunge should shoot itself in the foot.
