Pre-exposure HIV Vaccine Trial (Known as PrEPVacc) is seeking to hire staff to work with the project. This is a phase IIb trial aimed to recruit a cohort of HIV-negative volunteers at risk of HIV infection for participation in the PrEPVacc HIV vaccine trial. The following are job vacancies for the PrEPVacc Trial: -
1. MEDICAL OFFICER / ASSISTANT MEDICAL OFFICER 1 POST
(a) Required Qualifications
Holder of Doctor of Medicine from a recognized University/Institution, plus successful completion of a one year internship and must be registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika. A minimum of 1 year of work experience is required.
Applications from Holders of Assistant Medical Officer's Diploma and a public health background (MPH) with a minimum of 3 years of work experience are also accepted. Applicant must be registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Holder of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized
Institution/University plus successful completion of a one-year internship. Applicant must be registered by the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council. A minimum of 3 years of working experience in clinical trials is required.
Applications from Holders of Diploma in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in clinical trials are also accepted. Applicant must be registered by the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.

1. MEDICAL OFFICER / ASSISTANT MEDICAL OFFICER 1 POST

- Consenting process that includes providing briefing sessions and obtaining informed consent
- Assist with screening, evaluation and management of study participants
- Fills and checks source documents and CRFs
- Participate in the community outreach activities
- Prepare meeting minutes and reports for the study 6. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Consenting process that includes briefing session and obtaining informed consent.
- Providing pre and post test counseling for HIV
- Providing and advising on family planning
- Able to perform phlebotomy
- Participate in the community outreach
- Administer study investigational products
- Performing and interpreting HIV testing
- Completing of source documentation and transcribing in CRFs Query resolution
- Vaccine administration
- Participant tracing and follow up
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
