Joho barred from attending Uhuru's Mtongwe ferry launch

There is something wrong with Uhuru nowadays. He is being irritated so easily; consequently, the kind of language is using against his adversaries can be categorized as intimidating and not presidential at all.... Eti " Mimi sio bibi yako" what kind of nonsense is that? I have seen a clip of him insulting that MP in Turkana and sadly now is using Magufuli's techniques to bar Governor Joho from attending a public ceremony. It seems Mheshimiwa doesn't want to hear dissenting opinions. It is important for Kenyans to condemn this kind of behavior before it metastasizes into abuse of power.

I think you have not followed this things for long, Uhuru has been really patient with Joho, he has been inviting him to attend his coastal tours on every occasion. The first instance was when Uhuru was opening modern markets that the Government built in Mombasa, Joho said they were County projects, in front of people shaming Uhuru when in truth those markets were built by the national Government.

Despite this Uhuru invited Joho to his subsequent tours to launch and commission projects, Joho never saw that as respect, instead he stood up to cause sideshows with the president, he forgot to know that, him attending the national meetings was an advantage, he started war that he can't win.

So today, Uhuru was just putting him where he belongs, to make him feel frustrated and know that he is nothing to Uhuru, He can be sent home as Uhuru walks his count, he was being shown that the people turning up in Uhurus rallies was not because Joho was in attendance. It was to show Joho that the coast will be taken from him as he watched.

In any case, he was not invited, why should he force his way to the rally?? Because he know how important it is to attend. He got what he deserves. In fact as i look at it, it is only but the beginning. He will be pulled in the mud till when August comes he is a nobody!!

We have a president living with hangovers of the 1963 independence Constitution wakiwa na mwenzake VP arap mashamba!!! famous for leading the no campaign in 2010. what do you expect from such fellows

So according to you, someone should aim at the presidency to show how strong, courageous he/she is. You need to read that constitution again. And this tym get your facts right. In fact your friend joho should understand that the president rides on over 50% of Kenyan voter endorsement. He on the other hand is a mere governor. When he disrespects the presidency he is disrespecting all those voters who cued across the nation to vote UK.
We have to realise that the days of such misplaced bravado are long gone. If he has issue with Uhuru as president he should wait for campaigns and the ballot box, win as many people to his side and get Uhuru out of power. Chest thumping won't get him to state house

Ndugu, Magufuli anatumia jukwaa moja na opposition MP popote aendapo jimbo la upinzani, huo upuuzi wa Uhuru ni Jubilee style, it has nothing to do with Magu.

So you mean Uhuru also opposed the new constitution???
That's a flat lie.

I pitty bitter folks like you, because you'll have no option but to add another 5 more years of bitterness to your calender.

May God hold your health firmly, otherwise you might just have a cardiac arrest when you realise it's currently impossible to unseat him, regardless of who will be NASA's candidate.

I think you miss a subliminal point here. Uhuru should act and behave in a presidential manner, when you attack a governor you're seen to be attacking his people as well. He should remember that his office is one of great esteem and any and all his actions and utterances have ramifications. You can't co opt people by force, you lose that tiny possibility of getting a 5% in an opposition leaning county ever the more. He should hedge his bets carefully.

But wat a saw pia me ilinishangasha... Uhuru trying to sell himself akisema joho ameshindwa kupunguza drugs coastal region... Shida ya drugs ilikuwa shida kubwa kwanzia regime ya moi... Sa Uhuru anasema nini Wen madaktari wamegoma now 100days.. Corruption nayo iko juu ...Sa Nani fala ...rather kutusiana na leaders angeshugulikia Shida inasumbua Kenya now

If u really know that chap who penned this article, go inform him that just like ice cream, the politics of democracy is not limited to only one flavour. That he is a student of only one type of democracy politics as practiced in the west.
He doesnt seem to be familiar with the other variants of democracy politics around the world, esp the kind being practiced in much of the developing world, and Kenya in particular.
It's a terrible mistake to bet that following the recent faux pas by the president in Turkana, Mombasa and the myriads of allegations against him and his party would be inimical to his chances of re-winning his presidency in the forth comming elections. Nor are the insulted and humiliated governers likely to profit or lose as a result of the president's intransigence. It's either they are popular or not. That's what will determine whether they'll win in the next elections or not.

Tony Kimani needs to realize that politics in the deveopling world is a reserve for the wealthy, the charming, the cocky, the boorish and sadly, the unscrupulous. Any person not endowed with these attributes seeking to win any electable public role has to suck up to such individuals for their endorsements. Politics in our world isnt for the squeaky clean and the unassuming.

I honeslty think that whoever pulled off that dossier about William Ruto being a "dead-beat dad" in order to PHD (no need to explain what that is) was pretty stupid. Such stunts are virtually ineffective in our politics. I believe that France's Francois Fillon is really wishing that he was a politician in Kenya in the wake of the Penelopegate scandal.

Mungiki chieth being transported to msa, no food no accomodation! View attachment 480526
How do u know that they are Mungiki's? You know, it is such derogatory terms we use to brand the supporters of the candidates that we oppose that would serve as sparks that would trigger off the flames of hatred, violence and balkanization in our country. And calling them "chieth", dude, do u realize how crude u come accross?

Please let us be civil around here even as we disagree. Let us not turn this forum into yet another Mashada.

I think u are missing Rufiji's point here. It's the truth that the head of state seems quite irritable these days. Something is not okay with him, his advisors need to set him straight on his behaviour, his utterances inthe public podium. As the head state, he is the figurehead of our national unity, and with such enormous role, he should strive to be in his best behavior at all times, no matter the pressure.

He is just realizing that being soft with this guys is more harmful than being equally rough

You might have missed the point by going after the messenger...which shows bias.

He simply said Uhuru is making these Governors bigger than they are...but using a lot of words.

And now Governor Joho, answers back to the lies of Uhuru Kenyatta at Tononoka grounds in terms of how much the Central Government has disbursed to Mombasa County...waiting for an answer from the CS.

So you mean Uhuru also opposed the new constitution???
That's a flat lie.

That's a true fact. He does not need to stand up in public and say so...all you need to look are his actions since the days when he was Minister of Finance and you will be able to see how his actions have been of sabotage.

What makes you believe that letter?? I can produce the same in 10 minutes on my computer and show a trillion shilling allocation

It has to reach a point people have put to their emotions aside and allow facts to guide where they may. It doesn't make sense at all to defend the behavior being displayed by the President Kenyatta. The statements he has uttered are beneath the dignity of the office he represents. It is imperative to remember that Kenyatta is the president of the Republic; he ought to show some maturity by staying above the fray. Stooping to Joho's level can not be a solution to this quagmire. In fact, it is now difficult to know who is telling the truth. On the other hand, even if President Kenyatta abhors Governor Joho as a person, he has to respect the office and people that Joho represents! That means, by the virtue of his position, Joho was supposed to be invited in that meeting.
