it will be the major transit hub of the country and EAC region....it will have a container depot where containers from the port of Mombasa will be stored therefore it means that a ugandan trader wont have to go all the way to the port to get his merchandise....it will link phase 1 to phase 2 of the rail....very crucial station...not a white elephant at all

Correction Mekatilili. As of 2015, the number of passengers at the JKIA had already hit about 7.5m! It is actually approaching the 8.5m mark by the end of this year.

Notice that the Airport has Flood control barriers?? These barriers cant allow flood water into the premises
