Katika kipindi cha bunge naibu waziri wa mambo ya ndani amewataka wabunge wawe makini wanapozungumza mambo yanayowahusu askari wetu watafute forum ambazo zitakuwa na usiri na si kama bunge ambalo watu wote wanasikia kwa mfano kusema wizara yake haijalii maaskari ni hatari kwao.

2. Kama viongozi wanajali maslahi yao pekee tufanye nini??
3. Wanawafanya maaskari wajinga wa uvumilivu na wanajua siku ukiisha huo tutakutana kwenye makambi ya mipakani???

Kagasheki anajua kwamba kutokana na hizi presha za kupanda na kushuka, wabunge wengi wamejitahidi 'kutetea' maslahi ya wapiga kura wao. Kwahiyo wasiwasi wake ni kwamba kutokana na hali hiyo wabunge wanaweza wakazungumzia madhira ya askari polisi na kusababisha wadai nyongeza ya mishahara na marupurupu mengine. Kwani wamekuwa wakiwanyanyasa muda mrefu, na kwakuwa wamekuwa 'watiifu' wa unyanyasaji anaogopa sasa huenda wakaamua kudai maslahi yao bila uwoga.Lakini akumbuke kuwa hapo jirani Kenya askari magereza walipogoma kudai nyongeza ya mishahara hawakusubiri kuwasikia wabunge wakipanda na kushuka bali wakati muafaka ulifika wakasema sasa basi!
Kwahiyo siku askari wa bongo wakifika mwisho wa uvumilivu, hata sitaki kujua itakuwaje siku hiyo.

In an analogy to the same Churchillian logic I see our government as "extremely jumpy" with much to be "extremely jumpy" about, what with all their saddening salacious scandals.A pass enabling them to be taken at their word, even from and for the most patriotic origins, could prove a much regrettable carte blanche. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.In a classic setup to prevent the classic dilemma of "who is going to watch the watchers" the three pillars of the state, namely the executive, the legislature and the judiciary must act with the spirit and intent of the harmonies of the legal foundations of "checks and balances" with no one pillar above the other.How dare the executive decree with such unrestrained impunity, what an irredeemably irresponsible inequity!

This decree constitutes gross and simply extra naked censorship tacts right out of the Orwellian book, bordering on Mobutuism and only one layer removed from Pol Pot himself. To add insult to injury, the biggerheads are not only endangering national security themselves by having an unmotivated and criminally underpaid set of angry armed citizens in the security forces, they are also using the national security argument to muffle any genuine concerns about the nations security.

To try to contain an open secret in the guise of "national security" is is analogous to the ostrich burying it's head in the sand and pretending that so long as the ostrich does not see it's assailant, it will remain safe.These issues of grave concerns will remain there, whether discussed in parliament or not.if not in parliament the corner joint will discuss them, if not the corner joint JF will discuss them, even the soldiers themselves, the set with direct knowledge of these issues, do discuss these issues, so rather than sweeping matters under the carpet, the government should seriously look for a solution in a cleanup by addressing the concerns, rather than trying to suppress the truth in this age of technology where even the Chinese and Iranians cannot contain their populations freedom of expression.Do these people really understand the world we are living in?
