hehe ..

Mogadishu has always been a very lucrative route, Lakini due to National Security concerns, GoK has always forbid KQ despite the fact that other internationa airlines like Turkish fly there....
Planes comming from Somali have to land in Wajir airbase where the plane is searched then allowed to proceed to Nairobi. This has meant Kenya misses out on Landing fees from other airlines that are discouraged by the stringent process.

The security operation at Wajir, conducted by the Kenya Police and Kenya Air Force, involves unloading and scanning all luggage, frisking passengers, and other rigorous immigration procedures. Nairobi insists that the procedure – introduced in 2006 – is for the mutual benefit of the two neighbours who have in the past suffered several terror attacks due to the presence of Al Shabaab terrorist group in Somalia

Anyway,Alhamisi wiki hii KQ itaanza direct flights to Mogadishu-Nairobi, And from Nairobi to Any connected destination . There are millions of hardworking somalis leaving outside their county in Africa, Europe and US this route is bound to be lucrative..

Hongera Kenya Airways, inabidi kuungana na kufanya biashara kupunguza vikwazo vya kibiashara kwa majirani.

HAving said all that, lets look at other airlines brought down while landing or taking off in Mogadishu

This was a bomb disguised as a laptop, luckily only the bomber who was carrying the laptop died

a UN plane

A blast that punched a large hole in the fuselage of a passenger plane at Somalia's Mogadishu airport on Tuesday was caused by a bomb, officials say.
"It was a bomb that exploded in the Daallo Airlines flight. It was meant to kill all aboard," Transport Minister Ali Ahmed Jamac said.
One passenger was sucked out of the plane and died, and two other passengers were injured.
The Djibouti-bound Airbus 321 was forced to make an emergency landing.
Some reports suggest that an explosive device may have been hidden inside a laptop of one of the passengers.
The blast happened shortly after take-off from the Somali capital.

Ihope our undercover recce squad air marshals will be on every flight..... I recomend KQ watumia ndege za Jambojet since they dont have the word 'Kenya'on the plane, Alafu wasifanye sherehe yoyote amabayo ita tajikakwa habari huko Somalia, kila kitu kifanywe chini chini

whew! Mogadishu is tricky...ila kama kuna demand basi wapae tu

Huko muangalie sana, isije tokea yale ya Gulf of Gabon tulipoteza one of the continent's best nation football team.

A route to Somalia is desperation. Even Arab and Muslim countries like Egypt, sudan etc do not have flights to somali.
It shows the state of harsh competition KQ is facing in west africa and south african routes.
The NBO Newyork route was Just PR, when the half year results will be announced mid next year the truth will be out

Wanajua Kenya ndio Mama na Baba yao. They try, they kill their own. Tumewalea kama watoto wetu and now is time to help them build their Nation. Wapende wasipende Biashara lazima tufanye kwao.

Somalia is more integrated with Kenya than any other Nation in the world. Somalia kukiharibika wao hukimbilia Kenya. Now its time to liberate Somalia and change our brothers lives. Kenya will always be their second home and business destination. Kenya is taking this relation to the next level through this step.
