Taarifa zinasema Njenga alienda kwenye kibanda chake cha siku zote kilichopo Waithaka, Kusini mwa Dagoretti ambapo huwa anakula mtura na viazi na jumla ya bei huwa Ksh. 60
Wakati akitaka kulipa Njenga alijikuta ana Ksh. 50 na kumuomba muuzaji kwamba atampelekea hela yake iliyobaki(Ksh. 10) baadae
Muuzaji hakumuelewa na kukubaliana na Njenga hivyo alichukua kisu na Kumchoma kufuani maeneo ya moyo
Mshtakiwa alikimbia baada ya tukio hilo lakini baadae alienda mwenyewe kituo cha polisi kujisalimisha

A 36-year-old man was on Tuesday afternoon stabbed to death after failing to pay Ksh.10 for mutura in Nairobi.
Samuel Mwaniki Njenga is reported to have gone to his usual boerewors (mutura) vendor in Waithaka, Dagoretti South where he ate Mutura and a potato; all amounting to Ksh.60.
On dipping his hand into his pockets to pay, Mwaniki reportedly realised he had only Ksh.50 hence he requested the vendor to allow him bring the Ksh.10 later on.
The unidentified mutura vendor could, however, have none of it. He grabbed a knife and stabbed Mwaniki in the heart.
As the deceased fell to the ground and a crowd began to gather, the vendor fled only to later surrender himself to the area Chief’s office from where he was arrested.
Mwaniki was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead after an hour.
His body has been transferred to Kikuyu mortuary.
