Police officer in Njoro, Nakuru County on Tuesday shot his wife dead after a domestic dispute before turning the gun on himself and committing suicide.
According to the Nakuru Police Commandant Hassan Barua, the couple was inside their home before the incident.
It is further alleged that the 27-year-old police officer, attached to Piave police station, was drunk before a disagreement ensued between the two leading to the shooting.
Speaking to Citizen Digtal, one of the neighbours, who claims to know the officer, said he was a peaceful person and that there was no indication of a marital problem.
“I heard the news early in the morning and upon arrival there was commotion,a lot of people had gathered to witness the shocking incident,” said the neighbour.
