But you should note that a lot of that remittances is from Tanzanians in Kenya.

If indicators show that the country's economy has tripled within that period, except the GDP, that brings me to one conclusion.
Kenya's GDP is undervalued. There is so much undocumented goods and services going on.
The true Kenyan GDP is more between $110 and $150.
Also, the shilling should be doing better than it is.
Yes we do so to increase our exports, as the result our exports to EAC and SADC have tripled while that of Kenya have been going down.Tanzania and Kenya have had an almost similar inflation rate last 10 years. If that was the only thing that determines strength of a currency, then we would be in the same boat with you.
But Kenya has had more foreign exchange inflows over the same time.
Kenya has had better economic and monetary policies.
The end result is that both currencies have weakened over time, but Tanzania shilling has weakened more.

Lakini hii haimaanishi eti Uchumi halisi wa China = 130% * current GDP , Hata Serekali ya Tanzania ina prefere thamani ya shilingi ibaki chini kwasababu ya export ya madini na utalii mkilipwa na dollar mnapata faida nyingi..... And using the same Logic, Serekali ya Kenya huhakikisha shilingi imebaki hapo around 100 kwasababu ya kulipa madeni na pia sisi tuna import bidhaa nyingi kuliko tunacho export.... Lakini hii haimaanishi eti leo hii tukishukisha thamani ya shilingi yetu dhidi ya dollar kutoka 100 hadi 130 eti value ya uchumi nayo itashuka kwa kiwango cha 30% !!!!!

1USD = 101 KES
2,300 / 101 = 22 times more than Tsh, Lakini hii haimaanishi eti Kenya ikizalisha(GDP) bidhaa za thamani ya KES 10 Billion eti ni 22 times more money than kama TZ ingezalisha the same bidha.....
In other words............
If Kenya produced goods worth Kenya shillings 10,000,000,000 Billion its equivalent to a Tanzania producing goods worth TSH 227,190,342,600 Billion based on KES/TZ exchange rate.
And based on local currency to USD equivalent:
KES 10 Billion to USD = 98,787,000 Million
TSH 227,190,342,600 to USD = 98,775,545 Million

Sawa sawa kabisa, ndio sababu factors zote hizo zinakuwa included. In case of Kenya kwanza unatafuta "How much Kenya got for four years from 2014 to 2018 from growth rate of 5.6% per year, then you multiply by a factor( the strength of your money), this factor in our country is always either is number one(1), if its value in relation to $, is the same like previous year, or bigger than one, if the currency gained against $, or less than one (0.9) if it lost to $.The currency also re-adjusts itself over time. GDP is calculated in dollars. If your shilling weakens over time, when it comes to converting back to dollar, it will see only a minimal growth. And vice versa.
Kumaanisha if your economic output is Tsh100 trillion this year, and Tsh110 trillion next year. That's 10% growth.
But kama shilingi yenu ilitupa value over that period, converting back to USD will give you a smaller figure than you expected.
