This video compares some of the countries in Eastern Africa using their GDP Nominal, GDP Per Capita and their total Population. This video is based on data gotten from World bank, Imf and Wikipedia from 1960 to 2020.

In other words the only category where our neighbors beat Kenyans is breeding.

I guess you can't win them all
A big population is not always a good thing. Watanzania kama wangewacha kufyatuana kama panya saa hii wangekuwa na Gdp per capita ya juu sana.

TZ Population per SQ kilometer of habitable land is far much smaller than Kenya. If you go to the interior or Tanzania you will be surprised just how agriculturally rich it is while there are no people at all to farm or live in it

Most surprising Is that TZ beat both Kenya and Ethiopia on all metrics During Nyerere's Ujamaa Era.

Yani huna aibu ukisema hivo ?
TZ has vast arable land, minerals, reliable rainfall, but their production output is just mediocre ...
Kenya on the other hand , with 2/3 of the land semi arid and a lower population, has a higher agricultural output by value..

TZ needs some serious internal reflection. But with the CCM propaganda that its the land of milk and honey, you have a long way to go.

1.Tanzania is the most urbanised country in EAC - Yet you wount see any slums
New: Tanzania is the East Africa's most urbanised nation

2. 35% of all land in Tanzania is National parks

3. Yes, Agricultural output should be higher..But for a long time Tanzania lacked capital investors due to their land policy and rampant corruption. - NOW TZ IS MIC, JPM has killed corruption. Mistakes of the past wount be repeated

And the question persists, why is Tanzania poor then?

Retirees not having their pensions for the last 3 years cannot be counted as a past mistake?

A doctor earning 500,000 KSH/month with a wife and 4 children (per capita income 83,000) vs a single accountant earning 100,000.
Who will have a better life?
