Kenyan & Tanzanian Surburbs

Mlizoea Kudanganya watu humu na ku-enforce agenza zenu, sasa mkijibiwa mnahamaki. RIng road sio hiyo uliyoonesha, Ring road na street roads ni vtiu viwilli tofauti. Ukiendelea kuachiwa kudanganya watu humu utaanza kudanganya wasiofika Kenya kuwa Thika Road is a Ring Road, It is NOT. Kuilazimisha kuiita Rong Road hakuifanyi kuwa Ring Road.
Kukopi wikipedia hakukufanyi uwe sahihi, Sasa ukiita thika ring road na er huan, san huan, si huan na wu huan beijing ziitweje?

Hakuna Ring road hata Moja Nairobi Huo ndio Ukweli. Kama Miji kikubwa kama London ziko 3 unategemea kufananisha Ring road na Street roads halafu watu tukukukubalie tu.

Wewe unasoma wikipedia, wengine wanazitumia kila siku. acha ushamba bwana.
Pathetic.

Mekatilili alijaribu kudanganya watu hapa, sasa aje ajibu hili.

Hebu tuoneshe hapa hiyo Ring road iko wapi?

Sometimes you speak like a fool, or rather, your hatred makes you speak like a fool.

Ring Road - A road forming an orbital loop around a city or a section of the city.

Nairobi City has so many ring roads that have been constructed around the city though as the city grows they are engulfed within hence cease serving the purpose of a ring road. The photos that Mekatilili posted are sections of the Thika Highway complex which consists of the original Thika road, University Way, Muranga Road and Ngara Ring Road. The photos are thus part of Ngara Ring road which used to encircle the outskirts of Nairobi when it was still a small town but cease serving the purpose of a ring road when the city grew bigger but retained the name Ring Road Ngara.

The outer Ring Road that connects Thika Road in the north and Mombasa road in the south was also constructed but again the city outgrew it.

At the moment the government is constructing the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Ring roads which will make a complete loop around Nairobi when complete, The Eastern and Northern Ring roads are already complete while the Southern and Western Ring roads are still under construction. All the four roads are world class with nice interchanges, over passes and under passes and are set to improve the state of traffic flow in Nairobi greatly.

PS .....in 2010, construction of the Thika Superhighway had just began, I don't know how people started posting its pictures in 2010 when the road didn't exist then.

You're so full of jealousy and hatred.

calling a road a ring road, doesn't make it one.

compare real ring roads, with your imaginary ring roads.

real:

Imaginary in eyes of a Nairoban.

Thika Road is not a ring road, if you hadn't noticed Ring means looping around the city. how can you call Thika a ring road while it exists only on one part of the city?

Just because M1 is a giant Highway that doesn't make it a ring road, how do i call M25 in London? You guys are really pathetic in attempts to justify vapor.

And by the way, you just spoke as someone who has never seen a proper ring road, Travel around poor Kenyan. the world doesn't revolve around NRB. Siku ukipata bahati ya kuona Beijing mega ring roads, hicho kichochoro hapo nairobi sijui utakiitaje.

Hizo suburb za Kenya, ukimuona Mkenya huko ujuwe ni boi tu. Hakuna zaidi.

Guys stop posting photos of CBDs, this is a suburbs thread

The also few photos are not of CBD, Upanga is a residential area,Mlimani city is a residential area, Kunduchi is a residential area, Kijitonyama is a residential area.

there are some photos of the CBD though, but given the fact that 90% of our Asian population resides there, there are many residential buildings there.all of KKOO and all of Kisutu.

usitishwe na Magorofa, wahindi TZ wanayapenda, wakati nyie mnapenda Estates.hivyo usishangae ukona 30 stories residential buildings kama Uhuru towers etc. Upanga which is a residential area is effectively a huge construction site for the past 5 years.and no new building there is less than 15 stories. if there are must be very few

I think the posters were responding to "suburbs of Nairobi showing pics of City center". So if you mean what you type, kindly go ahead and remove all the photos from Nairobi CBD, then come back and lecture Tanzanians to remove theirs.

My gripe is with re-posting photos, as much as i loathe african cities, there is much to see in the past few years. reposting photos from 2 years ago really is doing these good cities injustice

IN THIS PHOTO ONLY TWO BUILDINGS ARE NOT RESIDENTIAL HAIDERY PLAZA AND THE CHURCH

Dude, silly denial coined from hatred won't make existing structures disappear by magic. I never said Thika road is a ring road. Stop putting words into my mouth. Lemme educate you a little bit.

A road is not defined as a ring road from it's size but its purpose. A ring road is a road that forms a loop at the outer sections of a city to avoid congesting the inside of a city. Like a told you the latest ring road in Nairobi is composed of the Nothern, Southern, Eastern and Western bypasses/ring roafs that form a complete loop around the city. Here are the descriptions: -

The Southern and Western Ring road - it begins at Mombasa road in the south, through Kibera, Karen and Dagoretti to Kikuyu. The two ring roads are under construction and expected to be complete early next year.

Northern and Eastern ring roads. Begins in Kikuyu in the north, forms a loop over the north and east and joins Mombasa road in the south. These two are complete are well functioning.

PS.....You're so dumb comparing Nairobi Ring Roads with Beijing Ring Roads and concluding Nairobi ring roads are not ring roads because the Beijing ones are bigger and better. Let me give you a piece of your stupid way of thinking. Tokyo has a population of over 35 million with bigger infrastructure than the whole sub Saharan Africa combined. Tokyo is a city so Dar es salaam cannot be a city. Sikh utabahatika kuona Jiji sijui hicho kijiji cha Dar utakiitaje. Sounds logical right?

CBD or not, they are not photos of suburbs. Or you also want me to define suburbs for you again?

And please stop all this inferiority complex, I didn't single out Dar alone, I asked posters from both sides to keep it suburbs. Why are you so insecure.

And......uhm, I know Dar has made great progress recently when it comes to skyscrapers but sorry.....haijafika level ya kunitisha. Nairobi still beats it hands down.

Please learn to differentiate between residential buildings and suburbs.
