Apart from Nigeria,i don,t think of any other country where citizen's have a larger voice than their Government like Kenyans. These folks will always want to show any government they elect that actually they don't need any assistance from their Army to overthrow it when it goes against their wishes.Citizen's can literally walk away from the President and tell him to his face that he is useless during a national celebration ceremony.Ministers on several times have experienced the same during public meetings. To them Politicians are nothing,,,just other eagles who want to snatch from them........who knows why Kenyan's behave like this?
and..
1. Could this be the reason why Kenya has matured democratically and economically?
2.If Ugandan's could rise against Museveni and Tanzanian's against CCM...dont you think that East Africa could have gone so far economically and democratically?
Honest opinion only please...

Kayundi2,I take you very positively on your observation! and its for this reason i give you a THANKS vote!Personally i have been watching these fellow Kenyans, the way the are ever ready to face any consequence, provided it has a role to their lifestyle!... I sometimes go to extremes by considering that may be these boarders set formely by colonial governments had a certain reflaction to deal with brains too! We chaps are too inactive when it comes to political, social and democratic rights, and shame enough, we fear even to question the parliamentarians, whom we ourselves chose to represent us!..., and finally they behave goddeses to ourselves- poor we!

Kenyans can't entertain dictatorship
Politicians are not to be treated like gods. We are all equal regardless of the status we hold in the society

if Kenyans have voice over the government, why don't they charge their government to revisit the land policy by redistributing it to land less?
remember your LAND your sovereignty. you can't say dhis is my home/country if you don't have land.

For all you going on with the whataboutisms, we are not perfect but one thing for sure we will keep trying to change for the better.

While others have resigned to submit to one party rule Kenyans will keep changing things till we get it right.

We might fight amongst each other, but I promise you this We'll burn this bitch down, if you get us pissed

Democracy has never been about development . They are countries which have democracy especially in Africa(Kenya) but have no development. But we have countries which are being lead by dictators for example Singapore are more developed.
With that democracy has never been about development but how the institutes within the government are being operated.

Democrasy has never been about development. Maendeleo ya nchi hutokana na uwimara wa taasisi za serikali kupitia watendaje.

Only 5% are enjoying good life some being salary paid good salaries by big corporates sitting as head quarter for Ea. Bad enough cash crop is more important than food crop. Putting cap on price of sembe. Mzungu is not good at all.

It was never like this from the beginning, Kenyans have paid a very expensive price to get this far, we were beaten and even killed, but still went out against the tide, it wasn't easy and yes we are not there yet but are far far better in comparison to all the nations surrounding us and even far better than many countries in Africa and the world.
Believe it, unless you're damn sure you'll make it to the end and are ready to pay the ultimate price, never get started against that CCM thingy, because if you hesitate for a minute, it will devour you mercilessly.

You saw how soldiers painted Tanzania red when some lady attempted to pull a Kenya on your country. By you people pulling back and scampering for safety, that went with everything else you could have hopped for. Better be submissive completely, and daily join everyone else in praising and worshiping your current leadership, in simple words, your opposition is down and out, MPs and Councillors are now being bought like cashew nuts and crossing over to CCM, join the bandwagon and forget any form of opposition politics.

Both Kenya and Nigeria are failed states!

Nigerians are running through deserts and oceans just to reach Europe.

Kenya will soon be a source of refugees just like Nigeria because of a failing economy.
