Kenya’s $800 million Flower Business seeing a Huge Boom

From your responses here in JF Seems like You get your yellow CCM heart broken every time you read something about Kenya. You are busy talking of 2014 & 2016 neega we are in 2018 & if you read the article flower sales are booming. Every business has up and downs, In 2017 the business grew despite drought, 2018 profits will make u sink into depression.

Dont be impressed by sales figures as if they are Profits.
Let me give you some grim news of Kenya flower farms in the wake of kenya's ill adviced and fake middle income status
Finlays to close two flower farms in Kericho due to labour cost
Agony for 2,600 workers as Karuturi flower firm shuts down amid debts

Double taxation thorn in flesh of floriculture
Now sit down and let the pain sink in. Taxes are so much that despite the sales figures no one is making a decent profit. But ofcourse Jubilee propaganda machinery will tell you that things are better than ever.

Ghana has passed you Rwanda and Uganda next....

Bye Bye investors.... hahahahahaha Gas wametoroka.. Gold wametoroka... Tourism tumewashinda...

Kenyan salaries are more than double Ethiopian salaries. That is bound to make our products noncompetitive in some instances.

As for EU taxes, it has nothing to do with 'middle income' status. Despite being richer than Tanzania and your neighbours, we can still access the EU market duty free but we need a regional block deal. But Tanzania refused to sign the EPA because of the usual jealousy.
