Kenya's GDP hits $85 billion as Tz breaks the $50 billion mark.

Hahahaa.. itabidi ifunguliwe thread kila mtu ataje utaalamu wake!! Tuna eza peana deals, For starters nataka fundi mjenzi [emoji5]

Did you say per capita? No

He said when a real economist like him says GDP PPP, he actually means GDP per capita. lol. Good luck educating him.

Kama wewe ni real economist kama unavyo sema sasa mbona una shangaa mtu akiwa mathematician at the same time akawa mchumi!! How do you separate Statistics and economics? Acha ushabiki, mimi siwezi kukubishia kama wewe ni mchumi ila acha kubisha ili mradi ubishe. Halafu siyo kila mtu ana degree moja!

University zote Kenya zenye zina department of Economics, zinaruhusu watu kusomea uchumi wakitumia Secondary school certificate.(yaani K.C.S.E). Hakuna requirement eti mtu lazima awe mwana hisabati. Mimi mwenyewe nilichafua A kwenye hisabati lakini siwezi jiita mwana hisabaati kwani sikufanya hisabati katika chuo kikuu.mwaka wetu, ungepata B+ (overall grade) kama mimi, ungefanya economics. Requirements za economics ziko less than Engineering or Medicine.

So inategemea na university.

The same way US alitumia kumpiku UK wakati nchi zingine zikipigana vita. So mliposhindwa kutumia ile nafasi mkaendekeza rushwa sasa itawacost. Maana taa ya kuomba site ishawashwa. Mpaka Magufuli amalize miaka yake infrastructure zitakuwa zimekamilika which means macro economy tutakuwa vizuri. Hapo ndipo mtaelewa nini maana ya kuendekeza rushwa

Please, bring proof that in the 90s Kenya's GDP was twice that of Tanzania.
Iko wazi hiyo wewe. Sisi tukiwa vitani nyie mlikuwa mnaendelea kuzalisha tu. Lakini still tupo wote third world countries. Subirini tutawaacha hapohapo

3rd world tuliwaacha kitambo sana labda mjaribu wenzenu Burundi.

Per capita? Why do you guys struggle so much with simple things?
GDP PPP means GDP purchasing Power Parity which means the GDP of a country adjusted to prices of certain goods and it has nothing to do with populations.it is not equal to GDP per capita

Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is measured by finding the values (in USD) of a basket of consumer goods that are present in each country (such as orange juice, pencils, etc.). If that basket costs $100 in the US and $200 in the United Kingdom, then the purchasing power parity exchange rate is 1:2.
Examples
For example, suppose that Japan has a higher GDP per capita ($18) than the
US ($16). That means that Japanese on average make $2 more than normal Americans. However, they are not necessarily richer. Suppose that one gallon of orange juice costs $6 in Japan and only $2 in the US; then $6 in Japan exchanges to only $2 worth of US goods, since the Japanese can only buy 3 gallons while the Americans can buy 8 gallons. We have decided to use 1 gallon of orange juice as a reference basket of goods. Therefore we can create a PPP index for Japan in terms of the US as 1/3. Therefore, in terms of orange juice, the Americans are richer, and in this example the US has a GDP (PPP) of $16, unchanged since it is the reference currency. Japan, however, has GDP (PPP) of only $6 since the $18 in Japan can only buy 3 gallons of orange juice, which represents only $6 of US goods.
