Kenyatta insists Asia visits were not a 'snub to Washington'

Kenyatta insists Asia visits were not a 'snub to Washington'

the west has tried all means possible to sideline kenya, but they have found out it is hard to sideline the most economically active country this side of the sahara

Bill Clinton was being interviewed by the BBC while in Dar, and he provided a very insightful and mature answer - although I am not sure how deep rooted it's sincerity was, as opposed to diplospeak- but when asked if America is lagging behind as far as being influential in Africa, and that China is taking over, he basically said Africa does not have to be limited to an East/West dichotomy, and that to be truthful, apart from the health sector, the US was lagging behind.

The Americans will be the first one to tell you that nations do not have permanent friends or permanent enemies, maybe permanent interests.

ignorance is always supportive of arrogance!...they have nothing to offer africa except for HIV drugs/ kits, and mosquito nets. The same old skewed old thinking of africa as the dark continent....yet this is the same place they have always sourced for raw materials for industrialization. They should copy the chinese way of partnerships where there is mutual gain...

You need to calm down...and while at it please disabuse yourself on what the West gives your country. Narrowing it
down to 'Mosquito nets and HIV drugs/kits shows how shallow you can be.

it will not be narrow when rising africa will disassociate itself with the west

i have looked at various points before i have come to that conclusion. there is that divide that the wests has always been keen on maintaining african. For many years, they have come to the continent to take resources for their industries in exchange for nothing...not even helping boost africans sustainabilty.

it is the divide in industrialization where they blantantly deny that industrialization is not the key to economic growth and sustainabilty. maintaining this divide is also an evil prospect.

note..there should not always be a people or country dependent on another nation economically...this is the faulted wests ideology behind aid packages ( not loans)..... but chinese rise as the second largest global economy is a sample for every doubting persons to witness...industrialization has been the key behind their success.

The other problem sielewi kwa nini waafrika tuna tazama mambo kwa lenses za kikabila au siasa za wanasiasa (either local or international). if we can just foregore our local politics for development to take center stage we can think of so many solutions to solve our current problems. but contrary to that, ask any learned kenyan what they want they cannot tell you. they just will tell you what a their hero will say...................

That equation does not apply to 'the West' alone...even your new found friends...the Chinese do the same.
Don't even for a minute think that the 'partnership' is mutually exclusive.
